Reviews
I was genuinely disappointed by the Geelong Library. The building is unnecessarily large and confusing, with no clear signage indicating where to enter. Despite being a library, there seemed to be a serious lack of actual books — which defeats the whole purpose. It feels like more effort went into making the place look flashy than making it functional. It's hard to see how this was a good use of public money. Positive reviews seem to focus only on the appearance, not the usability or substance.
My twins enjoyed their time at the kids floor. There were heaps of books with plenty of toys to play with.
If you planning to work hear, be aware the mobile hotspot is a bit patchy. But the free wifi at the library is good if you can get on. Otherwise Deakin library down the road is quite friendly to remote working.
Dome shaped building has great architecture and stands out in the Geelong CBD. Lots of books available in the library and internet access if needed. It’s one of the biggest regional libraries in Victoria. Fantastic views of the Geelong Waterfront from Level 5 & the heritage centre is on Level 3. Staff is quite good as well.
Very nice environment to study and concentrate on task. You can have free wifi access.I enjoyed doing my assignment.I was impressed with overall facility and cleanliness maintained with public toilet availability.
