You need to eat here! Be warned the food was VERY SLOW! The food here is beautiful! Some of the best Indian I have eaten outside of India. As good as much of it that I did have in India. The pricing is extremely reasonable. The restaurant is very well kept. The service was as good as I could expect. But it did take much longer for the food to come out than we were expecting. I'd like my 5 star review to speak for the food especially! Even though it took them a long time for food to come out, it still maintained their 5 star status in my eyes. They were VERY quiet, which I attribute to their location slow service due to lack of staff. Thanks COVID! But the quality of their food shows that they have not lost any of their love for their food. This restaurant needs to be supported and kept open! Please go and go often!
A great place to go - food is excellent and the ambience is perfect. Their dishes are authentic and the banquet is perfect for 2 or more people.
We recently celebrated a 75th birthday party here. Justin and Arpan were amazing. They looked after all the planning and took care of every detail making the event a success. The food was amazing too and everything was on schedule - entrees, dinner and desert were served on time... Very professional and easy to work with. Have no hesitation recommending them to others...
Such an awesome resturant. I have only had good experiences there. Their food is spectacular, staff are excellent, and location is easy to find. Honestly amazing.
I dread going to new indian places because have such high expectations of the food as I know what proper food taste like from India But this place blew my mind. I was astounded by the flavours of the food and the tenderness of the meats. You really must go there yourself to try. You can smell the spices from outside which is a great sign We got a sweet beef nisha which has peanuts in the sauce but it's not like a satay sauce. It's so unique and delicious. Never ever seen this dish on the menu anywhere else. I also got a lamb saagwala which was so delicate and fresh. This is a meat and spinach-gravy dish. This is my new favourite Indian spot. This place is halal too. The service and atmosphere was fantastic
Great foodand service. All our dishes were good, only the naan was a bit disappointing. Lassi Mangoe was excellent
This is the best Indian food in Brisbane. Never had a bad experience and I recommend this place to everyone. I have known the owner for over 30 years he is true gentleman and his wife the Chef is wonderful. Great service great food and consistent quality. Nothing to do with price the overall experience, service is good. For anyone that complains about price they couldn’t cook at home cheaper! Love this place.
Excellent restaurant in the middle of busy Springwood. The Currie's we ordered were served in nice indian themed copper bowls, and the taste and flavours were some of the best we've tasted. Very friendly staff who genuinely endeavoured to make the evening dinner special. Very generous meal portions with rice included in price of chosen curries. Will certainly be returning soon. Congratulations Gateway of India on a great establishment Parking: Plenty of on site and roadside parking, well lit
Food was not what I expected. We were very disappointed!!! We ordered Chicken tikka and sheesh kebab, both dishes were taste less, no spices, basically just tandoori/orange in colour. Sheesh kebab meat looked very weird, it was more like meat loaf. Chicken tikka was dry as well. We also ordered prawn curry hot. It was finger licking delicious! I wish I would've just stick to curries. Service was good at the beginning, then slowed down as soon as they started getting busy. We have to remind them for the order and how long will it take especially for the desert. Desert/Gulaab Jamun was good as well. But we had to wait at least 20mins for the desert. Since the order was late they gave us 4 gulaab jamun in each bowl instead if 3 :. That was nice if them.
Amazing staff! So kind to have helped me and my cousin staying at the Springwood tower’s apartment with food after their kitchen hours. Was an amazing gesture of kindness and the food was amazing, we had a beautiful butter chicken curry and some special filled naan. 5 stars to both the the service an food.
