The Galley was a last minute lunch decision today and we are so glad we did. Greeted like regular customers by happy welcoming staff and taken to our seats with a water view. We immediately felt very comfortable, it has been awhile since we have visited a restaurant with such happy staff with huge easy smiles and a want to assist you with your needs. Big Well Done! Now to the food. The menu is varied and designed to have something for everyone. My husband had the special which was a Pork belly and fig salad which consisted of rocket, finely sliced radish, prosciutto, apple, and of course pork belly and figs. He was very impressed and stated that the combination was perfection. The pork belly was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly with a light crackle on the edges. I went for a steak and bacon burger, steak was tender, bacon was deliciously smoky, the salad consisted of tomatoes, cheese, beetroot, and greens. The size was perfect and was served with crispy hot chips. Highly recommended and will return. Excellent work The Galley
Very Disappointed. The surroundings of this restaurant are what you would expect for being around the shipyard area The furniture is hard and uncomfortable, bare wood seating and no cushions. Ordered our drinks wine and our meals, food arrived after a 15 minute wait however no drinks, we advise our waitress that we were still waiting on our drinks, she followed up on our drinks order and advised there was a rush on drink orders, however this was not correct, they simply forgot them. The wine arrived approx 5 to 6 minutes later. Our burgers were so poorly constructed that one had to be reconstructed but still had to be eaten with a knife and fork, the second burger mine was half the size of the other burger The menu said Beer Battered Chips, they were NOT beer battered chips, more like chips made onsite that were on the small size and had a dirty cooking oil taste to them and were soft and not nice. The steak in the burger was tasteless, it said Angus beef but feel it was not. Overall the burger just did not meet the grade, caramelised onions were according to the waitress the star of the burger, they weren't and it had no Sauce. The menu reads well and is reasonably priced however the food didn't empress at all, very average. The view to the water is almost non existent
First visit and will happily be returning. Went for breakfast which was delicious. You can sit and look upon some pretty serious boars at the marina or go for a walk after.Food: 5/5
Nice spot and great find. We only had take out this time but service, coffee and food were great. Hidden in the marine district great place to go.
I have tried to only write reviews with good things to say. The Galley is a nice spot, open and airy with the boats and water nearby. The wait staff were pleasant enough but the food; in our case a soft shell crab burger and a mediterranean roast veggie burger just lacked...flavour, texture, heat...one of the crabs had the awful taste of bad but the rest were fine. Even the chips had no substance as if they were frozen packet chips which I am not saying they were but that is how they tasted and what the texture was. So it is a long way to go especially, and I was disappointed but at the same time not ripped off but just one of those "meh" lunches which I can do without.
Very busy and staff working very hard and flat out so be prepped for longer waiting times. Food is tasty and we'll presented so chef/s are doing a good job. Just needs a little more management pulling it all together to oil the process and take some weight off the overly stressed staff. Covid I'm sure is not helping but that said, will come back. Great location, looks beautiful, food is good, and feels like being in the Florida keys.
These girls and guys are simply the best. Very friendly and provide actual table service. Hooray! Food is great with a good selection of salads and meats and the coffee is freshly ground and brewed to perfection. You even get a love heart on top. Thank you for good service to us over the last 2 years.
Breakfast with a view, vibe just so inviting. Absolutely attentive and friendly staff and our breakfast was 5 stars all topped off with a perfect coffee. Highly recommended and will be back EVERY TIME we go the GoldieFood: 5/5

Absolutely amazing food.... lived in coomera for over 6 years and only just found this place. My partner and I found it 2 weeks ago, went back today for breakfast then went back for lunch the same day... the salmon pasta is something else at lunch, And the egg bennie with the Rosti was one of the best I've had, and I'm picky!Food: 5/5
