Wow, what an impressive bakery for such a small town. Passing through Heathcote today we stopped at Gaffney’s Bakery at 63 High St Heathcote. The place was absolutely jumping. I spoke to Bek, the shift Supervisor, and mentioned how busy it was when it was my turn to be served; she said things had returned to normal and that they were getting even busier this. This bakery is one you really have to experience for yourself. It’s almost overwhelming with the choice on offer. If BIG is what you are looking for, this is for you. Loved my steak and pepper pie along with my hot chocolate!
Popular Cafe in the centre of town. Decent size Cafe. Got a couple of different areas sweet section, pies and drinks. Had friendly, cheerful service when placing my order. Good coffee. Worthwhile stop.
So impressed by cake selection. Visited for breakfast. Had the bacon & egg roll, vanilla slice and a mocha. All tasted devine! Can see why it won awards for best regional bakery.
This must be one of the biggest bakery I have ever seen. Plenty of choices to pick from - pies, sandwiches, cakes, coffee and plenty more. Impressive!! The passion fruit vanilla slice is OMG!!
Will stop here every time I’m in the area, the pies are just absolutely beautiful, the eating area presentation is great and love the modular Ording system with seperate bakery, drinks and treats stands. Try the home made tomato sauce!
Absolutely huge bakery, okay for a lunch stop if you're wanting a pie or sweet treat. We ordered a parma pie looked authentic with large chicken pieces inside, a beef and mushroom pie nothing special about it ... crust was so so, a slow roasted beef pie pretty similar to a standard meat pie tbh, and an egg and lettuce sandwich egg was undercooked for my liking with soft yolk. Coffee was standard. I guess it's an OK stop for a cost effective and quick lunch. Lots of tables inside and outside.
If you're traveling from Melbourne to eucha in Heathcote Gaffney's bakery is a great place to stop for a break on your trip the have everything from cakes to pies and a lot of home made product for you to buy its clean and all the staff are polite thay cater for people in wheelchair with a ramp and disabled utilities
I had a very enjoyable lunch, and wow, the pepper steak pie and the passionfruit tart was really good. I have to complement the staff, as the service was great, and the store was spotless. I will definitely stop by again on my next trip through Heathcote.
If you're visiting or passing through and don't have covid, you definitely should give this place a go. Very warm atmosphere, spacious and kind of feels like stepping into the mind of Ferguson Plarre. Service is very welcoming and there's even a little gift section for you to wander through. Food is really fresh and delicious.
Nice coffee, mushroom pie, swag roll and apple pie all very tasty, great customer service, lots of seating available, very friendly staff.
