Terrible service, zero communication, basic professionalism is non-existent. Gadens sat on a document that required a few minutes work for 19 days with no action and no communication. This was over the Christmas period. When we called we were consistently told by the people who answered the phone that there was a 'skeleton staff' working over the two weeks post-Christmas and dealing with existing work, and we kept being put through to various voicemail accounts. At no point in the process did anyone call us back, email us back or apologise for delaying us by so long. All communications went unanswered. As per the other reviews on here, avoid at all costs.
The worst of the worst of lawyers. Gadens Brisbane are a morally bankrupt firm of solicitors who abandoned their clients and charged them twice to review files when one of their most respected partners died… Their abhorrent behaviour has not been forgotten. Avoid this firm at all costs - the public image portrayed attempts to hide a rotten core of lawyers who have zero ethics and are only interested in squeezing as much money out of their clients as possible.
Not the smartest tools in the shed based on the information they gave to our refinancing lender. SMSF refinance which they state as 'illegal' has been signed off by the ATO, ASIC, the SMSF Auditor and multiple accountants and lawyers that the structure is compliant and the only option, and a great one to use. We even have the current facility with BOQ who ran over this with a fine tooth comb before accepting the facility. It appears to be over their head in complexity and their so called SMSF specialty team have not seen this structure before so they paint it with the 'illegal' brush. Obviously they feel they are above the SMSF Auditor, ATO and ASIC. They work on the KISS principle because anymore than basic makes them confused in our opinion and situation.
I can't recommend Liam Hennessy highly enough. Liam was amazing to deal with - very knowledgeable but also compassionate and kind. Liam was always available to talk or even just to email to alleviate my concerns. Thanks again Liam
Have been waiting 3 weeks for a deposit to be returned from a trust account. Multiple phone calls, multiple promises that it will be deposited, still no damn money in my account. If time is of the essence, do not go here.
I've had dealings with Gadens and several of their partners in Brisbane for many years and never been anything but satisfied. Maybe not quite a 5 rating over the years, but I gave it because the score here is not reflective of the firm., .. I've known that I'm paying a premium price for premium people I figure if its got to the stage of talking to a lawyer, i 'm not going to lose !
Called 6 times and could only leave messages with them - they never answer calls. They stuffed up our loan paperwork by putting the wrong loan amount in. They lost a page too causing us to lose a day of our family holiday to redo and send. We Had to deal with 3 different people. Communication was poor. Would LOVE to never deal with them again.
Gadens is the absolute worst kind of people to deal with. They are arrogant in that the don't return phone calls. One person was in his office, passed messages through his secretary. The paralegals spend more time trying to tell you how wrong you are, without looking at the details. Then when they are wrong you don't hear anything. Save yourself a lot of time and trouble. Go somewhere else.
Gadens Law Firm Brisbane breached my privacy when Gadens sent my loan contract which typically includes financial information to the wrong recipient at the wrong address. I would expect more from a Law Firm which has a duty to maintain the privacy of client information.
This firm is to be avoided like the plague. Arrogant partners, deceptive practices, that take their clients money then abandon them half way through a trial. This is a law firm which does the big 4 banks dirty work and cannot in any way be described as model litigants. If you like being ripped off by being overcharged this is the firm for you.
