I love this place and the owner and staff are very friendly and honest. About 8 weeks ago I was there and bought lunch with a fresh juice. On that day I was extremely tired and having a late lunch at 4:30pm. The very next day I discovered that my small purse was missing. I had left it on the counter top at the Good Day Fresh shop. I tried to contact them but was unsuccessful. I thought there was no chance of getting my lost purse back again.Today I was passing by the shop and I asked the staff if by chance they had seen my purse from 8 weeks ago. To my pleasant surprise they had kept it for me all this time. My money was still inside of my purse and I can’t believe I got it back! Thank you very much to the shop owner and staff.
The chicken and avocado wrap is surprisingly good. Lots of avocado flavour and the inside of the wraps seems to remain quite juicy despite being preprepared. The Spaghetti with asparagus is also quite nice. The Nasi Lemak feels a little bit out of place, and unfortunately the rice dries up under the light heater. The other pasta options are a bit bland.
First and last time. I ordered the gluten free salad based on the labelling and then realise as the server was making it up, one had Barley which isnt GF. When I told her and said I couldn't have it, she tried to tell me I would have to pay even though they labeled incorrectly. I let her know I couldn't eat it as I would get sick explaining coeliac, which received more attitude and looks from her. She then told me if she made it up I would have to pay. I purchased the other salad although didn't eat in because they obviously don't understand food safety and food preparation. Pretty terrible- go to the fruit guy on the other side with US candy - he is always lovely and kind to customers unlike this venue.
Rude people, I have seen this shop open many years ago. Sometimes I have seen it closed during certain hours and thought that they close because they deal with fresh food. Today I thought I'd ask. Front of house girl, said don't know, don't know. when I asked do you close the shop sometimes. She looked scared to answer. I wanted to find out what their concept was. Being G'day Fresh, do they open only when they get fresh produce. Now, the male guy who spoke to me, had such a defensive attitude when I asked the same question. When do you open? He said we always open and I said, I have seen the shop closed. He asked when. Now, I have no idea as its a casual passing over the few years its been opened. As I frequent the station. He kept asking in a belligerent manner, why do you ask? He said it was a strange question and his tone was aggressive. Almost as if he cannot be asked. He is of the same ethnic background as myself but we are of different birth countries. He then said he lived here for 17 years like as if, he knew it all. And I had to give him a retort that I had been here 40 years. Silly argument. It is really typical of such people to resort to act like a thugh male to female as well and being a bully when they can't see the purpose of a genuine question. He straight away became suspicious. It is very typical of those who hail from CCP China. Where they are opaque and become thuggish when being questioned. No civility. It is this distaste that I have to say something in thsi review as it pains me to have such people/business around the area. The other Asian owned stores are so much nicer and civil compared to this person who reeks of a bully. I would not patronise this shop for this reason as they do not genuinely provide any customer service except to take your money. Seriously. I thought they only opened when they get fresh produce as I swear I have seen them close before 7pm weekdays. Are they hiding something? If not, just man up and be civil to an innocent question and not act like a bully and indignant of receiving such a question.
Foods from hot bar are very oily
