Visited today, some great bargains and some massive sized fruit and veg. However, it did seem that everything that was on special was old stock. All the buckets of onions which were $1.50kg had a mushy or soggy onion in each bucket. The sweet potatoes that were 9cents a kilo were huge, but again, there were mushy ones in with them.nAnd fruit flies everywhere.nnAll the new fresh stock were normal prices.nEven the packet of BBQ snack chips we brought were stale.
They have closed their best marketing service, their sandwich and their coffee for $10.nI do not buy their fruit or vegetables.nThe best sandwich on the Sunshine Coast, add to it a very good espresso topped up with wonderful service by those young attractive girls.nI DO NOT drive from Twin Water only for that.
I bought a watermelon on Wednesday and it was all rotten.nMy son was exiting to eat watermelon but when I cut it was disgusting.nThey lived the watermelon out side in the hot sun for days and still sell it knowing that it's suitable to anymore. Even the rock melons on another box where all rotten but still there. Once I bought a dozen of eggs and out of dozen 3 where off because of that I lost almost all of them.nIm going to this vege shop for the last year and they qualify dropped dramatically even with the vegetables inside.nI'm not going back there again.
Just thought I have a look see as I was at the supermarket next door.nWhat can I say? BadnSmells sour like off fruit.nNo stone fruits and we are only weeks away from Xmas.nIt’s dark inside, fruit flys hoovering over the fruit, displays look like a shambles and sadly, dirty.nWalked through with my shopping bag, walked out with an empty shopping bag.nI could not recommend this place.
Not the worst fruit market, could be a bit freaher. Better than it was when Micks first took over. Bigger selection now and the staff are friendly and helpful
