I had a seafood noodle soup and it was ok. This is a budget restaurant that serves reasonable food, though nothing special. The seafood is budget quality and as per the photos, it's mostly processed seafood. The stock was nice, but the noodles are so so. Overall a reasonable 3 star experience. Thank you. Vegetarian options: There are various vegetarian options but I didn't try any. Parking: There is limited timed street parking.
Heard that this restaurant has good Cambodian food which is hidden in the quieter area of Dunedin city centre. There are varieties of soup noodles, fry noodles, and rice dishes in their menu. Three of us tried three different types of food, and we had chicken rice, seafood soup noodles, and the pork char siew soup noodles. The seafood soup noodles were really flavourful with generous helpings of seafood.....a must try here! The pork char siew soup noodles was a bit off because of the reddish colour, but it was good too. The chicken rice was delicious and served with broccoli and shreddered chicken.....recommended to try. Because we liked this place so much, we came back for the other food. I had the hot and spicy fried noodles, which was also nicely done. The chicken wantons with seafood soup were just as tasty. This place I heard was once awarded the first place for cleanness. Can't help noticing how clean and tidy the kitchen is on my way to the toilet. This place is wheelchair accessible and to the toilet too with a proper ramp.
My favourite place to bring new friends in Dunedin, delicious food exploding with flavour and handmade drinks that can't go wrong. Highly recommend classic or supreme Satay and iced lemon drinkFood: 5/5
The staff were friendly and the service quick. The food wasn't bad - I enjoyed it enough and was happy with the cost - but it wasn't quite what we asked for. The Pad Thai didn't taste like Pad Thai. I didn't dislike the food though, so there's that. Other reviews have suggested that certain dishes are better than others. Maybe that's what happened here.
Honestly, best restaurant and best staff. I come here all the time. The food is cheap, large serving, absolutely delicious, great service. 10/10.
Very nice food at a reasonable price and very authentic tastes. The staff are friendly and helpfulFood: 5/5
We were here attracted by the amount of people eating here so we decided to give it a try, and we did a good decision! We had a "combination" noodle soup with beef and chicken and it was full of flavor, delicious. We also had a very good fried rice. The soup is huge and the rice was of good size. Prices were around 11-12 dollars per plate. The service was good and fast even thought we were there right at lunch time. Too bad we found this place in our last day in Dunedin, otherwise we would be back again.
Came by with a friend who recommended the place for lunch. The menu had a large range of different Asian food items. It wasn't until after ordering that we found out he normally comes here for the chicken noodle soup. I had the fried rice noodles with beef. It was ok. Flavours were a bit towards the European palette. Also tried another fried noodle and it had the same flavour. The soup base for the soup noodle was nice though. Although they have a lot of items to choose from I think that the soup noodle would probably be the best bet.
Ordered through uber eats, one of the dishes was wrong. We rang them but they refused to deliver correct one and hung up on us. Not impressed
Really great food, price, and customer service! I asked if I could have Tom Yum made vegan and she definitely did without any problem : the woman definitely understand what veganism is and we had a large bowl of Tom yum noodle soup for $14 which was delicious! We will definitely be back again as they have other vegetarian options and other meals that can made vegan.
