A good place to have breakfast. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere to ease into the morning with a coffee. Big brekky hit the spot. Prices are reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. Centrally located and lots of parking made it easy to visit.
Understandably in a bit of a transition with new owners / staff. However the service was friendly and the food was still amazing. Would recommend coming here to help get this place back on its feet. It is the cornerstone of the Fryers St food scene and probably doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.
The better half and I met up with a long time friend for a brekky in the christmas period. I had the New York Omelette, the better half had the smashed avo and our friend had the eggs Benny. No complaints from anyone. My omelette was a big serve, tasted great and was silky smooth. The smashed avo was a little different and yummo. The staff were friendly. I recommend a visit. 9/10
The food was nice and I especially love the salmon my friend ordered def worth 5 star. However, there were too many flies. I understand it's hot and the door needs to be opened but throughout the whole time we were just trying to stop the flies from landing on our food, to the point that the waitress thought we were trying to grab her as we frantically swished our arms around. After I expressed this I just got a "sorry we can't do anything about it, we cannot spray when ppl are eating" and "what would you do?" Ugh…I hope anyone of you coming here won't be bother by the flies but since there's nothing that they can do we will just choose other places next time so we wouldn't need to rush finishing everything before the flies land on our food.
What a wonderful meal! Highly recommended the steak sandwich. Staff are lovely. So inviting and genuinely kind.
Converted church. Nice and relaxing. Meals we had were nice. Prices are average. All day breakfast available. Some parking but limited. Parking lot within close walking distance
My sister and I had breakfast here. The coffee and meals took a significant amount of time. The food was below par and cold, and the coffee weak. I spoke to the staff and let them know we were unhappy however the staff member didn’t know how to handle the situation and we paid in full. I called later to discuss the situation and I spoke with another staff member who was polite kind and understanding and agreed to a partial refund. I went in to get the refund at an agreed time and was verbally abused by the owner. Having grown up in this area and the steadfast reputation Fryers has had over the years, it’s fallen from far from grace. I won’t be eating here again, and will be telling anyone I know about our experience
Not the best experience from this cafe. This cake has always a good place to eat this time it was very bad there is a Italian lady who has zero table and customer manners at all. We had half our order come and then I had to chase the other parts. We totally understood being New Year’s Day that it would be a wait for food but to be told we can sit outside but we would have to go inside to order. I have been a customer of this cafe for about 5 years and I can tell you I will not come back
Went for breakfast with all of the staff from our office. Great customer service, excellent coffee & very enjoyable food. The atmosphere was very enjoyable/relaxed.
Such a nice place for a relaxing breakfast/ brunch around Shepparton. Situated in the Fryer's street CBD surrounding a bunch of other restaurants, this place stands straight for its unique vintage tinge in it- an old church structure converted into a contemporary asset. You can dine inside, which has got an upstairs dining capacity or you can simply sit on the out overlooking the Fryer's st if you're into people watching. Food is reasonable and wish coffee would have been better.
