I don't give reviews willy-nilly, so this review is well deserved give honour where honour is due, right. After nine years of observing Freshwater Christian Church and its leaders of all levels, here is what I have to say: I've seen people come and people go. Some left in honour, others not so, and through it all, I've seen the steadfast faith and love in Christ that the Pastors radiate.nThey know how to love and be faithful not just to each other and the sheep but to the most important man - Jesus Christ. Despite their busy schedules, they make time for others who desperately need an ear or shoulder to cry once they are aware of the situation.nnI've seen them act in divine wisdom towards people who show leadership potential or those who come under their leadership to see where those leaders' hearts truly are and have observed how some 'pass' and others who appear to be mature react in the way of Satan which in turn ensures the herd of the Sheepfold are kept safe from predators—wolves in sheep clothing. As an observer, I know that the shepherds must shift/test those to see what really lurks beneath because some wolves are very talented at disguising themselves in fake/false humility & righteousness. It's their right as leaders whom God assigned and put there to act in wisdom. Therefore, I look with suspicion at those who spread defamation of any kind. And glad to have leaders who can discern all.nnOne thing that I learned from a sermon preached here is that 'there is our view, there is their view, and there's God's view'. God sees all things and knows the hearts of all. Should he will, he will expose those who cause his appointed leaders to hurt. God ALWAYS chastens those he loves.nnI observed the Senior Pastors handling difficult situations with wisdom, positivity, strength, and self-control. They consistently demonstrate amazing steadfastness and commitment to extending God's kingdom through both their words and actions.nnI've observed the 'out-of-this-world' commitment in which the leaders show despite what happens within their lives no matter what comes their way. They know how to keep a balance not just financially but also in action. For example, the new extension in the cafeteria area is a wonderful fruit of love, knowing how hot Cairns can be. The extended area brings great comfort to our congregation. No doubt the lovely new extension will be used by us all gladly. The cafeteria extension shows how they know how to spend wisely using the knowledge God gave and giving to them intelligently.nnThis brings me to the next point: When it comes to improvements, Freshwater Church is a place where your suggestions for improvement are taken into account. It is a place where your talents and skills are recognised, valued, and honoured.nnI know this place isn't perfect. There are things that I personally don't like, and these things relate to people and mundane stuff. Plus, these are just my opinions. I've learnt it's not about the carpet colour, nor the chair we sit on or the paint colour on the wall that matters, but to see we're here to please Jesus.nnAt the end of the age, Jesus's opinion matters. I've seen that Freshwater Christian Church is God-filled, disciplining us by giving the word of life, loving others before self, and ensuring we learn to live a life pleasing to Jesus.nnIf you're looking for a Church with the above qualities, then I highly recommend you give Freshwater Christian Church a try. This place is a safe place. Brothers will treat you as sisters and vice versa. The Pastors & leaders are Holy Spirit-filled and love to please God of the Most High. They walk their talk with understanding and are filled with the strength and wisdom of the Divine.nnIf you like turning every stone, then check out their website. You never know; perhaps reading this review of my own free will is God’s divine appointment. He isn’t coincidental.
We are so grateful when our friend introduced us to this Church. We came from New Zealand and we were praying before coming to Australia that the Holy Spirit would lead us to a Pentecostal, praying, Bible based, Full gospel Spirit filled Church, and sure enough God brought us to this Church. The community is awesome and you can feel God’s presence in the fellowship of other believers. The kids Church is amazing. The preaching and the worship is powerful, genuine and authentic.
I am posting this on behalf of my mother Dorothy Farrugia, Freshwater Church has a powerful praise and worship to enjoy the presence of god. The church family are so welcoming to all. Where else would you want to be.
I love attending and helping in this amazing, holy ghost filled church, I have known the senior pastors for almost 35 years and their leadership and passion for serving jesus is unique and wholehearted. I recommend if you're searching for a great church freshwater Christian church
I have been fellowshipping at Freshwater Church for almost 12 months and have been blown away by how friendly the church community is. The very first time I walked through the front doors I could feel the love everyone had for each other and it is still the same today.
