Freshwater Christian College (a ministry of Freshwater Church) is Prep to Year 12 Christian co-educational College with a Kindergarten on campus.

Story

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent. Freshwater Christian College aims to provide quality education in an environment that is safe, caring and supportive. Our curriculum is fully accredited with the relevant educational authorities, yet within that framework teachers are able to plan the curriculum within a Biblical framework. From a parents point of view it is important that values underpinning an educational program are values that do not contradict, but complement the values of the family. At Freshwater Christian College our values are Biblically based and family friendly. Within a safe, secure, caring environment students are able to maximise their potential. In recent years students from this College had found entry into higher level university courses such as Law, Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science. We have found this school provides an excellent learning environment. I was never a fan of private schools until I had children of my own. With the broad range of ideologies being tested in public schools it is a relief to have our kids in a school which has demonstrated it's commitment to education without compromising our Christian faith.
After relocating from Brisbane, we visited Freshwater Christian College with a view to enrol our son, knowing it was a top-ranking school in the area. He has been a student there now for three years, and we are very pleased with our decision. It’s an excellent school with lovely grounds and facilities, quality principal, teachers are impressive and our son has made some great friends too.
I have two children at this school, and they are both really happy to go to school every day. They have made great friends, and both of them love their teachers. There is a big variety of classes/subjects outside of the normal maths and english in primary school including outdoor nature play, chess, music, Japanese, dance, library and science. Any unkindness my children have experienced from other children has been dealt with quickly and efficiently. We originally chose this school after having a tour with the head of Junior School and noticed that he knew EVERY child's name, and was genuinely interested in what they were doing in class. The children all wanted to show him what they were doing too. There is a sense of community within the school and genuine caring and kindness between the teachers, students and parents. My children are doing well, and love going to school, I can't ask for much more.
