My husband bought 1/2 kg of pumpkin seeds, , shiny dark green. When he brought this lot home they were pale, yellowing and rancid. disgisted. The previous lot we got were dark green, fresh and shiny.
Best supermarket in Nelson. Has pretty much everything you need, the music always hits and staff are great. I’d choose fresh choice every time.
All the amazing vegan food is here!! I nearly cried this morning, huge selection of delicious and local vegan cheese, vegan sausages, vegan ravioli, seitan, tempeh, tofu, etc.nLoved it!!
Usually, I prefer to buy a blueberry muffin from Fresh Choice early in the morning because they are fresh and tasty. Yesterday 21st November, when I went there, I realized there were no blueberry muffins in the cabinet. When I asked, someone, maybe a bakery staff member, brought three muffins from inside. He carried them with his hands; maybe they had paper, so they might not be contaminated, but I found it a bit awkward.nNot only that, for the first time in my 8 years of buying from Fresh Choice, the muffins were not fresh or warm. They were very cold, looked like they had been taken out of the fridge, and were sticky. I don’t want to buy any more now after this experience.nI saw a label saying expiry date 23rd November, but anyway, they didn’t taste or feel the same as before. If they are not made on the same day or are taken from a cooler, please display a board so customers can decide whether to buy or not.nThanks. Sam
This is a very cool supermarket with great product and staff, and the absolute best music I have EVER heard in a supermarket
