Nice food, coffee could be a bit warmer for me. Super polite staff. Buzzy atmosphere. Clearly a popular place. Lots of flavours going on in the meals - kind of fusion across several countries. Pork belly was nice but mostly fried - not stewed soft and crispy like the Vietnamese do it - however it was soft. Friends breakfast burger looked okay.
Great place for meals, staff were very helpful and plenty of parking out the back. Appears to be a very popular place so bookings are essential. Would go again the next time we’re in the area.
Great little Eatery with easy parking. We were greeted and sat down. There was a limited but good menu with something to suit everyone. There was no table service and I felt with such a menu would have been good to have some recommendations. The food was great, but felt it needed a little more for example the burger would have been good with a small serve of fries and the Ruben with a small side. Well worth a visit but left wanting just that bit more to make it truly memorable.
A cafe/eatery located about 25 mins drive from the Adelaide CBD. Went there for Brunch. Ordered the 'A Little of a lot', which you get a little of most standard breakfast items. The highlight of it is their roasted mushroom, which is dry enough to give an intense flavour, but yet juicy. Also ordered the 'Mushrooms on toast 2.0'. As its name, it also have the Roasted mushrooms on there. It is still juicy, but the mushroom flavour is not as strong as the other dish, which have only one small mushrooms. It may be something to do with the size of the mushrooms, so the time on the grill may need to vary. It will be great they can master that too. On top of the 2 usual brunch dishes, we also tried 2 fusion dishes. One is the 'Happiness in a bowl', which is like a Korean X Vietnamese feel. The other one is 'Indian eggs', which is a lightly Indian spiced scrambled egg. They are both very interesting to try if you want something difference. It is a lovely place
Just YUM! Such unique flavours but that work perfectly. They accomodate to gluten free with a delicious cheese/zucchini GF bread and lots of GF sweet treats. My partner is a coffee lover and the coffee beans are really smooth and chocolate and the milk and the latte art was world class. The portions are big too so definitely worth the price.
Round #2 Yet another perfect way to kick off our Sunday. If you haven't been... then you must. If you have... then you know. Thanks again to the team at FRED for the most delicious food; and coffee which is the best in the Hills by far. Round #1 The hills are alive with the sound of FRED... Yet another of example of an Adelaide Hills eatery that shows them city slickers how its done. Ok yes the prices are a premium, but the plates of food reflect their value. A creative bfast / brunch / lunch menu that boasts fresh, flavoursome and seasonal produce. Speacial mention to the staff who despite being flat out, still found time to smile and chat with my daughter. The coffee here was also on point.
Great setting with an inviting dining area, good food and friendly staff. Went in for a late breakfast and there was a good selection into the lunch menu.
Quality food and service. Meals ordered were full of flavour. Gnocchi was a melt in your mouth experience, the best I've tasted .
This place was recommended, the place itself is nice and pleasant to be in, service is good. Came here for breakfast and there was only one vegan option, the food was basic but tasty and nicely presented. The miso caramel latte was very nice too. Just nothing particularly special for what was recommended as one of the best spots to eat in Adelaide area.
The coffee here is good and the food is excellent, but for heavens sake, bowls? One is forced to eat with your arms up like a preying mantis. First it was trendy boards to eat from, now bowls, what's next, bricks ?! Good ambience though, the place was packed ....... I enjoyed it.
