Friendly, professional service, great car.  From the helpful first email, explaining how to best enjoy the trip on Fraser, to the camping gear, with unexpected items to make our trip easier (thankfully this included matches as I hadn't thought to bring any), to the informative briefing, and the wonderful Land Rover that got us through everywhere without getting stuck.  We were happy to have the sandtracks provided free of charge as we used them to help two other cars out of trouble.  Thanks for everything.

Friendly staff, very professional.
The 4WD was really great.
They took care of everything for us (the barge tickets, the National park tickets, suggestions for what to do).

Check for better options
We had quite a few problems with their old cars. Consider other companies as no one at Fraser Magic 4WD Hire would care about their customers, as the manager said after hearing from our experience and discussing with him over the phone upon our return, "well, too bad, you can’t keep everyone happy, but thanks for calling!"

1.- CAR KEYS MIGHT BREAK
We understand the cars are very old, however it is totally unacceptable to provide such a poor quality key for the car (only for one of the two cars we rented), which broke upon trying to open one of the doors when we were in the middle of nowhere. Their keys are not standard car keys, they are small and cheap copies.
We spent almost an entire morning (which is already 1/4 of our trip) trying to get to a place where we could make a phone call only to be told we had an extra set all the time with us. They won’t tell you where it is when you rent the car though, as they believe they are dealing with kids that will eventually lose them or there are thefts everywhere in the island that will obviously steal their cars if they knew. 
The manager blamed the broken key on us saying we turned it too far! and said we should be happy we were not charged $20 for a replacement.

2.- DON'T COUNT ON THE FIRST AID KIT
One of us got badly injured during the trip and had to make use of the first aid kit. Upon opening we found out that all the products expired 5, 6 and even 7 years ago (photos attached). When reporting it at the time of dropping off the car we were simply told "well no one really uses it"!. I was surprised to hear that from the staff, but even the manager insisted that it is only for emergency and should only be used when someone is about to die or very seriously injured, so he thinks only the bandage is needed, which does "not have an expire date", I guess he has not heard about infections or other injuries that require prompt healing. Luckily a nurse visiting the island came to assist, she was shocked that all our products were expired and kindly offered us her own.

3.- HIGH TIRE PRESSURE 
We got stuck in the sand in the first hours of arriving to Fraser Island. The only reason we got stuck was because our tire pressure was 30! We were told they were set to 26 by the staff and we should take it to a minimum of 22 or 20 if we got stuck. several people came to assist and all were totally shocked to see our pressure was so high, of course it was only a matter of time for this to happen. 

Unfortunately, the day after returning the car we were told the recovery tracks were missing, and we were charged $220 for them (we didn’t realise someone must have taken them when we got stuck, as they were not there when the second car passed through).

4.- CHECK ALL WINDOWS
When leaving the facilities, we found that one of the windows of the second car was not working, however we left too late and could not come back as we would have missed the ferry. This of course meant not only that the experience was not the same during our stay, but also, we had to close all windows and turn the AC on to have a more pleasant experience, leading to more fuel spent.
Upon returning the car one of the staff members did manage to get the window working again. No apologies from their side as they blamed it on us not knowing how to do it... despite using all other windows in both cars we rented... 

After all this, they did not take any responsibility and blamed almost everything on us. We spent over $2,300 on two cars for three days and the manager said we should thank him because he did not charge us $20 for the broken keys.

We booked a 3-day Fraser island trip with Fraser Magic and had a great time on the Island. In addition to providing us with a very well maintained Landrover Discovery, they booked the barge, campsites (Dundabarra and Central Station, both nice natural campsites with basic facilities) and arranged permits. Some of the tracks on Fraser are quite challenging and many creeks are crossed, but the car dealt with them nicely and never got stuck. The aircondition even kept us cool when  needed. Just in case you would get stuck, Fraser Magic equipped their vehicles with traction ramps and a shovel. Pickup instructions were very clear and return was quick and easy. Great service at a good price!

Great service, great price.  Car are strong and adapted, they will bring you everywhere.
Don't hesitate to contact them they will come back to you very quickly with a solution (it's how they acted with me)
Highly recommended.
