been keen to try this place since i saw it pop up as an ad on instagram a couple of weeks ago. i was interested in the pistachio raspberry bagel but it had sold out understandable they close at 2 and it was just after 1. opted for the prosciutto brie and pistachio and it was super yummy. the jam on the top was a bit too sweet for me so i took it off but me and the family i went with all enjoyed our bagels and id revisit to try a dessert bagel next time.:
UPDATE DEC 2024:nI love a bagel at lunch. Go to is smoked salmon, jalapeño cream cheese, cucumber. What an absolute dream. Bagel is never over or under filled, perfect layering of ingredients. One of my all time favourite lunch spots!nnOriginal review: gorgeous bagels wow! I've never had a bagel like this before. not something I had to battle to chomp through. I had the smoked chicken but I very much look forward to trying the smoked salmon. I ordered through uber eats but next time I'll come in and sit by the window with a coffee.nproperly loaded bagels that don't skimp on the cream cheese, beautifully presented.
Savoury bagels were good but unfortunately the pistachio and raspberry bagel was a huge let down and looked nothing like what was advertised online :
A tiny little hole in the wall place below some apartments , it blends in with the surrounding area , right across from a small football/ soccer field . Frankly bagels has a nice selection and my friend and I had a hard time deciding what to eat . The staff were friendly and they helped with our choices . Luckily we came in as we did , as they nearly ran out of gluten free bagels .nI had the tuna and bagel , with Swiss cheese , capers and pickled chili ,fennel and herbs . It had flour in spades , and a slight chili kick , with the added addition of lots a thinly sliced cucumber. It was very refreshing. The bagel itself wasn’t bad , but gluten free bagels are a little difficult to get right , so it was a little dry , but you definitely couldn’t beat the filling !nMy friend and I also shared one of the specials, and hitch was a pistachio cream , with raspberries and roasted pistachios . This was the standout bagel for me - the pistachio cream cheese made it almost a cheesecake consistency, with the added piquancy of the fresh raspberries and the crunch of the toasted pistachios adding extra texture. Whoever thought of this combination deserves a raise !nFrankly bagels use St Ali coffee, a well known roaster from South Melbourne which has a nice depth to it . It’s a good all round coffee which was made well here .nThere are a lot of smaller cafes around this area , and you are spoilt for choice ! It’s nice when cafes specialize in a particular food , this is obviously a local place which is becoming well known .
It’s a small lovely coffee near at the train station. It’s perfect for breakfast and the food with coffee is such a phenomenal. The service is quite ok, the staff is friendly and helpful. It might be better to take away than dine in as it is just a bit small coffee shop. The location is very perfect as it is very close to the city. You should try once!
