We knew about this place but only just came here to eat for the first time…the food exceeded our expectations…this place probably has the best Hong Kongnese food in Melbourne in recent years… we completely enjoyed what we ordered and it was fantastic, every ingredient was fresh and cooked well! We will definitely come back here for more good food!
The lunch of a chicken cutlet in tomato sauce, a runny egg, and tortoise jelly was reasonably priced and delicious, and the service was friendly. It left a great impression. The two of us actually finished the entire large set meal, along with the tortoise jelly.
I only had the French toast but it was delicious. They have a few variations but I would suggest the Kaya or peanut butter options. I'll need to come back for an actual meal soon!nnI've since visited and had the lunch set which is great value. Pork chop with curry sauce and chicken and creamy sauce were both delicious! Will definitely be back more often.
Great discovery in Bayswater! You get great value for money here, and the taste is not bad. It really reminds me of Hong Kong. Our top pick is the pineapple bun set with milk tea! Pork chop was a little inconsistent and dry, but other wise we really enjoyed our visit.
Update 2025nnAnother visit to the place for dinner, I think it's still ok.nnIf I can be picky the chicken chop that I ordered needs more sear on the skin but the black pepper sauce still nice and tried the crispy wings as well which is tasty.nnThe French toast is so so i think, can't comment on the curry fish ball as didn't try it finished by the minionsnn≈====nSmall Hong Kong style cafe/eatery which famous for their HK style dishes whether it's rice or baked pasta you can have it here.nnWe tried the grilled chicken chop with black pepper sauce,the baked fried rice with cream chicken, curry fish ball, instant noodle with spam, chicken chop with spring onion oil sauce.nnVerdict : man the black pepper sauce is on point as well as the marinade of the chicken. Serving size is generous and taste is on point. Egg waffle is genuinely very similar like the one in Hong Kong.nnNot a fan of the baked fried rice but that's because I don't like baked savoury dishes so I won't comment further as I could be bias nnWould I go back again? I think so, in fact I have been going back here twice this month
