As like sandune1 reviewer, my time spent within this store in length and spending has been over a long time period and much brought product. Unlike this reviewer I have from day dot found the staff very engaging, helpful and too have a vast range of product knowledge, also anything that they don't have a proper knowledge of or if it's not in shelves I have always found them to go the extra mile to data base research calling sister stores finding information on similar products and sourcing if necessary and ordering it in for me. Just the other day I was parked outside their store trying to fit items brought from their store and a gentleman worker came out of the store to help me lift things about to fit others in. Nowhere else have I ever encountered such help. Often staff won't come immediately to you if your a regular because they know you know what your after, wherr things are and if you can't find it they know you will come to ask, butI they always acknowledge your entry into the store and ask if your ok THERE looking, and just tell out if you need help at all. I think everyone can have off days and maybe instead of lurking about the store waiting for your mind to be read you might walk straight in and ask for help as it seems your seeking personal shopper service not customer service. My only frustrations are when the product I want isn't in stock and WOULD seek to have them stock bulk buying options clear art resin and artists acrylic 250 , 1litre ,2,4litre quantity options and if there was one real negative for me personally it is they do not open on Sundays EVER but I understand this is in accordance with their owners religious practices so acceptable. I LOVE the store clearance sales are awesome, staff are friendly humorous and helpful. I shop their nearly 2/3times a week and prefer to go there than levin or Palmerston north . After many years and many visits to this store I feel I'm qualified to comment on my experience's. The staff stand about in their little clique by the counter and talk amongst themselves, and are less than engaging, when asked where a particular item is they will point in a general direction and will forget to ask for AA rewards when serving, one particular male staff member thinks he is funny with his comments, when in fact he comes out as being an idiot, is less than helpful and not at least a bit interested in what the customer has to say, as far as the stores presentation and stock items, its adequate, its the staff that let it down, now whether this is a management thing or not I don't know but one this is for sure the staff need re-training or replacing with more friendly and helpful engaging personal who know their products.
