Spent the day in the Barossa Valley recently and we came across this cafe in Tanunda. My daughter had been there before, so recommended it. It had such an interesting, eclectic atmosphere inside, I was intrigued… I really wanted a coffee and then we decided on something to eat too. I chose a massive, home made looking sausage roll with an undoubtedly home made tomato sauce which was just delicious. Can’t remember what the others had but we all enjoyed our lunch. We loved the atmosphere, the service was good and approachable and there were quite a few yummy things to choose from there. This was a cafe that made you want to constantly look around, the decor was so quirky and eclectic. You felt like one of ‘The Borrowers’, rather than their human beans, as you surveyed every odd, little nook and cranny, whilst sitting there. This cafe is a very lovely, ‘homey’ experience and the food and coffee are worthy of mention too… definitely worth a visit to experience this charming, other-worldly cafe space. There’s nothing like this unique space really, back in Adelaide. Do something different next weekend and visit Tanunda… it’s worth the trip for a taste of another pace and this delightful cafe, something different than in the city.
Cute and unique little cafe, it has lots of options for everyone, including vegan and vegetarian items on the menu. Vegan options to choose from in the sweets cabinet too. We got the vegan burger which was really enjoyable. Lots of seating to choose from inside and has more seating up stairs and outside. Friendly service.
What a beautifully decorated cozy little place. This surely accommodates a good size of customers. The variety on the menu is amazing. The service is over and above the expectations. We loved the food and the atmosphere around this place. Would definitely visit again. Vegetarian options: Good spread of variety.
I quite like this place, cozy and friendly. It's recommended by the pub staff and surprisingly good. The big breakfast is great, not the ordinary big brekkie, but with full of flavours. Potion is huge, fair for 20 bucks. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Cute little cafe, could have almost missed it though. Reasonably priced, had the Eggs Benedict and a large cappuccino. No complaints whatsoever, was reasonably just, but I didn't have to wait for too long. Friendly staff and beautifully rustic atmosphere inside.
Great coffee and food. Our two year old grandson loved the children's play corner. The building is is a piece of history well worth seeing
An old mill retrofitted to be a Cafe with many rooms and areas. The staff were very friendly and there was an atmosphere. We sat on the outside street area as the inside is quite dark. The coffee and food was very good.
Meat pie was very dry & stale. Coffee was not good, instant coffee would be far better. Huge disappointment!
Wish we could have had breakfast here every day, home made goods and fantastic coffee in a quaint setting made this a favourite of the weekend away.
Good all days breakfast served up to 1:30pm. Open on Monday too. Good variety of cakes.
