This Four point sheraton is one of the best that I have stayed in. I have stayed in many Marriott facilities due to being a Marriott member, but by far, I have not written a single review yet. This one impressed me because the service crew really went above and beyond what is required. I had arrived early in Sydney on Monday morning and, having gone through a rough flight, was looking to refresh myself before going into office. Arrived in the hotel early and thought that I wouldn't be able to check in. But the counter staff, Randa found a room and offered for me to check in. I'm really grateful for that. As for the other staff, Evalengie, she was absolutely patience with me in allowing me to use my coins for partial payment. That way, I can use away all my coins without weighting down my purse. Last but not least, the request for more water was answered for, without questions asked. Thanks for the great service attitude! Good job!
0 star for the room service!nWhen check-in, the room seems like not ready, floor towel was wet, trash bin was not empty and there was NO any usual single use items, like slippers and toothbrush. I had to request several times and finally I got my toothbrush around 12, the midnight lol.nThen, the room team won’t keep guest’s lost. I rmb my clothes is left in the bathroom and call them in the same day, they say didn’t find anything… well, next customer might see my clothes.nThe reception guys are all nice, but cannot help with the problem.
Had a decently good time here. Rooms were nice but could’ve been cleaner. Staff were extremely nice. We visited on a rainy week and were given complimentary umbrellas. Breakfast was decent. Location was 5 min to bus stations in both directions as well as 15min to Central station with light rail trains and bus. Overall, a pretty good hotel with maybe some room for improvement involving cleanliness.
Unsafe! Someone unlocked the door in the middle of the night. Only the mechanical latch stopped them coming in.nnRoom 1113, on 05:45AM on Monday 29 July 2024 we heard the door unlock with someones swipe card and bang against the safety latch. They did not knock, call out, or say anything.nnReported to front desk who said that they needed the manager to investigate.nnBooking #88277837 we WERE loyalty members. I'd love to hear from Marriott/Sheraton why all staff are trained to knock, announce themselves, and wait before opening doors. They have cameras. Who had a key and do they still work there?!nnUpdate: Hayden, Front Desk Manager, emailed apologies that staff knocked on the door. As if! Unlocked without knocking and we both happened to be already awake to hear it. 6AM is hours too early for housekeeping and way out of check-in times. Was it you, Hayden?nnOther than that we had a comfortable stay, liked the area, and had great service from Evangeline at check-in.
It is an excellent hotel with outstanding hospitality! Shout out to lovely Julia from the restaurant, who received us with a big smile every morning! It is a 15-minute walk from Darling Harbour. Great location! It is very close to Central Station and Chinatown! One of the best experiences with Marriott so far!
