Don’t expect a smile. Do expect to be ‘gaslit’ when you ask for a product that they don’t have. Not their problem - you just don’t know what you’re looking for, or you can’t describe it properly. ‘Stupid customer’. Too easy to insult older customers, it would seem.
This newsagency has a good range but they're the most consistently glum, grumpy people I've ever seen in retail. I've bought Lotto there for years, and never once have they smiled and wished me luck! Last week I discovered they have a second chance barrel - but I've never been offered the opportunity to put my losing tickets in. That was the last straw - I'm now an ex-customer.
Unfortunately this is one of those places that still imposes a purchase minimum to use contactless EFTPOS in a post COVID world. They cite their policy as “we’ve always done that” and the back merchant fee, even though this is charged as a percentage. Tried to support local business, but ended up going to a major supermarket to get the same, but cheaper. Disappointing.
Floreat Forum Newsagency has a wonderful selection of cards. The best ever! A lot of my friends and colleagues have told me that they've kept the cards that I've purchased from Floreat Forum Newsagency because they're so nice. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
