Story

For the blokes the Castello’s Foresters Arms Hotel (the Foresters Arms) has large
LCD screens to catch all the latest in the footy, cricket and races. You can place
a bet at the TAB or grab a drink from the bar.

Choose from beer on tap or dare to be different and go for one of the imported
beers. If beer is not your flavour, our bar serves a variety of spirits mixed drinks
and champa’s for the ladies.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch there this week and as usual, the staff were friendly and our meals were great.
Lovely staff. Separate room for our party. But, the food let us down, underseasoned , bland, coffees were only Luke warm
The interior was beautiful! Very modern and sleek inside, although the atmosphere was a bit of a let down. For a Sunday lunch, I expected more of an atmosphere, for it to be busy and bustling, but it was super quiet. I had a small group of friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was average to say the least. I ordered the roast lamb, and it was a little chewy and not warm. My partner ordered the steak, and the steak was a generous serving, but the chips on the other hand was not. It almost looked like they counted out the chips. The menu was pretty limited and pricey to say the least. I wished all the food came out at one time, but it didn't, which left awkward gaps in between our meals. Not sure I'd return again, overall, a pretty average experience.
We were treated appallingly by bar staff and manager. Richard the manager was so disrespectful and didn't want to hear any complaint I had to make about one particular young female staff member. She was rude and confronting as soon as we walked in. He said without listening to anything I had to say. We need to leave. Never been treated so badly in any establishment
My wife and I went in for lunch today. We used to go in regularly many years ago when we lived in the area and decided to pop in to see what had become of the place. So glad we did. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, well-cooked and nicely presented. We'll definitely return next time we are back that side of town.
Staff are friendly, meal sizes are huge, oh my gosh get the garlic bread and scotch fillet! Perfect meat and garlic heaven!
Ordered the porterhouse steak cooked rare, and was not disappointed. Vege and mashed accompanied the steak with peppercorn sauce. Topped with a glass of Shiraz, a great meal out. Service was friendly from the staff we encountered!
Pretty good place for a meal with friends/family and for a bit of a drink to watch some sport. Noticed they play AFL and Basketball on my visit which is great. The staff are really friendly and after reading some bad reviews for the staff being nasty or having no customer service ability I would have to say that either those people don't work there anymore or they have stepped up their game because the people we have spoken to here are nothing but nice. What we ordered - ______________________________ Classic Parma Chips + Salad : This is a good ol' classic chicken parmy, quite big which is always a good thing and it's pretty well done, chips are always good at this place and the salad is ok, does it's job but could be a little biggersalad, though i doubt many will care for it as the size of the portion is more than enough to satisfy even the biggest eaters. Give the Parma 8.5/10 ______________________________ Bruschetta w/ Feta: We ordered 2 of these 1 without the Feta as i personally was unsure about it, taking away from the dish, but I have to say that the addition of Feta on top actually works really well and I kicked myself that I didn't order them both with the feta. Probably our favorite dish of the night and probably the best bruschetta we've had from eating out anywhere, easy to eat, not to acidic or overly powerful with feta/onion, we felt it was pretty much spot on. Give the Bruschetta 10/10 ______________________________ Soft Spicy Chicken Tacos: We were looking around for pictures of this to see if we thought we might like it just from pictures but couldn't find any proper pictures to be able to judge, we were a bit hesitant to even buy it because of the price tag and thinking they are probably going to be small and come with no sides. Because of this we decided to order it with our starters assuming it was going to be small. Boy were we wrong, These probably are the biggest tacos I've seen, very very generous serve and we were happily surprised, No sides and luckily not because they are not needed with these bad boys. The taste is pretty great, like almost perfect, the spice is great it's not too over the top but the spice is 100% there and you WILL taste it, if you are not so great with spice i would steer clear, or maybe ask for less? I'm sure they will cater to you because the taste of the entire dish is worth it. Probably our 2nd favorite dish of the night. Give the Spicy Tacos 9/10 ______________________________ Scotch Fillet Steak w/ Blue Cheese Sauce & Chipotle Sauce on the side : The steak was good, it wasn't great but that's just me personally others might absolutely love it, it wasn't a bad steak, it was above average but I feel like it tasted more like a T-Bone steak off the bone over a scotch fillet, it was quite thin for it to be a proper scotch fillet ones i usually cook are pretty thick not sure it was 300G. Sauces were alright. Give the steak a 6/10 ______________________________ The Staff and Manager again are really nice, we came with our 7month old baby and they were considerate enough to pull a chair out of our table before we were there so we had room for a pram or if we needed/wanted a baby chair, that's first class service to think about that without us even asking for it. Overall 4/5 for these guys, It's a good place to go for food or a drink the only thing I think would be better if there were a wall dividing the drinking/pool area as we all know we can get a bit loud when with mates having a drink and/or playing a game of pool watching the game etc, but again it's something you can live with for the most part. Loved the food there, would recommend going here and from what I can tell they have a designated night for Cheap Parma+Chips for like $6 or something which is an awesome price. Will definitely be back again.
Hi Well every time I come Thursday night for steak night 5 star, staff fantastic very happy and friendly I recommend this pub and restaurant with out a problem. Even my family and friends want to come as l find it the best pub in town Thanks a lot keep up the good work I will always be happy to recommend this place no worries Richard
Hotel is very nice and has great TAB and nice staff. Just don't eat there
