The food is good but the attitude of the owner is soo bad. We gave him a chance couple times in case he had a bad day but it is his general attitude and we are not going that shop ever again. This happened to us and our friends and it is not acceptable. One time my husband just holding our baby in his arms standing even not walking and he said “you should sit down, it is disturbing” the shop was almost empty that time. Other time we were with our friends and our friend’s daughter has a severe celiac disease so they needed to bring her food and he was saying that we are not allowed to bring any food from outside even though they cannot provide not contaminated gluten free food.
Decent place. Plus halal. Food was tasty. Some dishes were expensive but the. This is nz.. Certainly recommended..
The eggplant dish and the double cooked lamb were just amazing! The fish was humongous. Very speedy service, but it felt like the people serving were not interested in serving. But the food made up for it. To my surprise, they are one of the few good Halal certified restaurants.
Quaint traditional Chinese restaurant. A cosy warm environment with decent food and friendly efficient service. The Peking Duck is very generous in size along with all the bells and whistles that come with it. A worthwhile visit.
Many impressive points. Very fast service, food prepared lightning fast, meal a massive portion, delicious and a very affordable price. They were happy to modify my meal to make it vegan friendly. Excited to try out more from Forbidden City.
Haven't been able to get in contact with the restaurant no email address available so hoping they will see this and get in touch with me: There was a rock in my Crispy Chicken with Hot Chilli. Understand it was likely an accident, however not the best feeling to bite down on. Otherwise, food was decent and of good portion size.
Pretty good authentic Chinese food
The food is good, nothing that special but good selection of dishes. Service is nice and the atmosphere is fine music and talkingFood: 4/5
I went here in lunchtime, there is a lunch menu for little bit cheaper price. But mapa-topu was salty and not tasty. Chicken was little bit better.
Waiter extremely rude. Today we went with a vegan friend, asked twice nicely that we didn’t want egg in the veggie dish. They added anyway. When we asked them why there’s egg, the guy told us to shut up and sit down. This is unbelievable. We’ve never been treated like this anywhere else. Won’t recommend, not sure if they just hate vegan people or what.
