So disappointed that this would be my first negative review.nMost of the staff are nice in the Deli area, however there have been a few occasions where I have asked for meat to be wrapped a certain way, rather than clumped in a ball that when your going to use it, the meat is in such a mess your pulling it apart just to get a slice and your lucky if you can actually unravel that much in one go, to call it a slice.nI have asked on this occasion, if the person could possibly skip the meat, that had a 2cm piece of fat running through it, and she put it in the bag. I said sorry, you put the pieces in the bag I didn't want. She grabs her tongs and throws it back out into the Deli section and snaps, it did come from a pig, hands the parcel to me and then laughs with the next customer at me.nAfter getting home and getting ready to make a sandwich for someone, I still managed to get some of the less fattier pieces that were on display.nnYeah petty in the big picture, but it's my world and we're going to eat it and have to pull it apart so, yes I was annoyed and will my not going back affect them, not really.nHowever, after decades of shopping there, I'll go elsewhere.
I understand stealing is a problem but why are we alienating all school children and forcing them to take their bags off? in a world where there is so much expected of them yet they have no trust, this is disgraceful. The workers are also quite rude, every smile I have they ignored, would give 0 stars since there is no upside to their high prices.
Great little shop in the heart of Montmorencey.nThey have a great deli and refrigerated meat section, ample produce and overall a wide range of food/products etc. Furthermore, the staff are usually quite polite and helpful.nIt does bother me however, how they mark down items that are past their bb or use by.nThey seem to wait until just before the USE BY date and then mark down but only by a couple dollars…nA few weeks ago, I noticed a bottle of juice that was 5 days beyond its use by date that had only been marked down to $4 which was $1.56 less than full price.nI’d be interested to know how much of this ends up in the bin. Or if people just don’t pay enough attention to the dates and figure they’re getting a bargain. Either way, it seems ridiculous.
Had a very lovely experience in the liquor section of the store. Was struggling to find some wine for a function and an amazing young man called Noah helped me and pointed me in the right direction. It's lovely to see that there are still some hard-working young people out there
Just discovered orange juice here is really good and they have a bunch of other great foods, humans at checkout, and decent specials.
