Terrible trailers. Constant issues and faults. A complete nightmare. At first I thought they were awesome. Tim always answered calls and always callled back promptly. Made promises and showed me around the warehouse. After the money was paid, he changed. Hardly ever answered calls and took weeks to get back in touch. The trailer itself was a nightmare. Issues with it right from the start. It looked like the work was performed by high school children. Tim always blamed one of his staff for the botched work. After multiple calls to him to try and fix basic stuff, I gave up and called “real professionals” to rectify all the errors. I was out of pocket, but at least now I have a working trailer. I was desperate back then. If I had known how things would play out, I would never have engaged his company.

I recently just built “Bearded Brothers” food truck from these guys, I myself had a good experience, they delivered on time, the lads in the workshop are good at what they do, we love our setup and our graphic design. Tim the owner Is a good man, he generally is in it for your well being. I am having a problem with a refridgerator right now and he offered to pull it out and swap it for a stainless door fridge for no extra cost. Not too many builders would do that. We love our trailer and our design is perfect for what we need. Gotta hand it too the lads in the workshop b cause they do great work. Come down and check out the finish of my trailer if anyone is sceptical about the quality of the build.

Do not trust Tim Austin from Budget Food Trailers and Food Truck TV Australia (which they appear to have changed their business listing to today 15/12/17...). He’s all talk but fails to deliver in a reasonable timeframe. I’m now having to spend large amounts of money getting someone else to complete work that I paid them for in full, which they continually delayed completing over more than 4 months despite receiving full payment upfront, and which they are refusing to refund me for now. Had I known that they would constantly be delaying the completion of work that I paid them for due to constant 'staff illnesses' and 'bottlenecking of work' then I wouldnt have engaged their services in the first place. In his response....His claim that he tried to reschedule for 2 Jan is untrue, as all he told me via email was that he could get to it in mid January which I have in email. Vague and non committal. Numerous other defamatory statements are nothing more than him trying to salvage his rapidly unwinding reputation. I have asked numerous times for documentation and an itemised invoice of the work I paid for and which he claims to have completed but he has been unable or unwilling to provide this to me. While he claims that most tasks he was engaged for were completed, only a few of the 9 repairs he was to complete were actually finished, despite his request to have the van for over a week - I drove by multiple times while it was with them and didn’t see it move position till the last day I was to pick it up.... A total rip-off. A complaint has been lodged with the Office of Fair Trading against them and a claim has been made through QCAT against Wendy Joy Austin and Tim Austin to resolve this issue. If they do give you a completion date, make sure you get this in writing from them before signing any contracts for them to do the work. Then, if they fail to complete the work by the date, deduct a certain amount from the final payment for each day/week/month that they are late, which is what some food vendors have had to resort to due to the widespread lateness associated with food trailer builds. If you start booking in work close to the completion date, then you may find that you wont have a business to operate due to an incomplete trailer. This costs you time and money which is critical at the start of any new food business. If you’re looking for a food trailer, you’re better off finding one on Gumtree which you’ll get for half the cost and in a much quicker timeframe than going through manufacturers like these. Budget by name, budget quality and service. If you need further evidence, check out the youtube clip demonstrating their ‘budget’ workmanship....

I can't write a review as a customer however as a supplier and over all observer of the place on a frequent base I can say this group of people are very professional, energetic bunch for sure. I see lots of trailers leave the place looking absolutely fabulous and never seen one return to be fixed yet. When a trailer does come back it's always because it goes well for the owner and they want to upgrade things in them. As business partners they are trustworthy and always come through with what they sign off on. Good company to deal with especially because they don't just have the experience in building the trailers or trucks but they have people in-house who know the mobile food industry and can help you out so you hit the ground running.

I got my Trailer build with Budget Food Trailers (Burger of Gods) This Guys just amazing Excellent costumer service, costumer relation, and product. Highly recommended.
