This place has the single worst sausage roll I have ever had in my entire life. it was extremely dry, 70% pastry and next to no filling you could literally see through the where the filling was supposed to be like a tunnel. Overall I’m very dissatisfied with the quality and most likely will not be back.
Food Express Bakery n Cafe Whangamata supplied the food for a funeral service today that I helped with. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. Would thoroughly recommend them for any of your catering needs.
Bought a steak and cheese pie there yesterday and it was not acceptable. No cheese, 1 piece of steak and the pastry was floppy because 98% of the pie was a sauce with next to no meat. Won't be back.

I would like to support this bakery I really would but I am so sick of the inconsistency in quality! Iv been stopping at this bakery for years and notices it slipping a couple years ago, now you'll go in and get over charged for either cold pies or hot food , or the next day it will be microwaved pies so soft and explode in the brown bag they put it in which becomes a sloppy mess to try eat and you'll want to eat it because you've just been charged 15 dollars for a small cransky, bottle of water and a steak mushroom pie...over it! Waste of hard earned money
The pies with meat in them are good. No plantbased options sadly.
Coffee was watery. Looks like a good selection of food though.
Stale mince and cheese pie that had no cheese. Horrible coffee. Friendly staff.
Service is slow. Visited 3 times and twice I've been left standing by the counter. Sausage rolls are a hit or miss. Gravy in the pies are a bit watery, not much depth in the flavour. Prices are a tad high, especially with drinks.
