It’s a beautiful and amazing place. The offerings are voluntary. Praying inside the temple is so peaceful. The people at the temple are very frank and kind. The place got acrod parkings too.
Venerable discoursed on the Sakyamuni Buddha, Bhaisajyaguru Buddha Medicine Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Kwan Yin Pu Sa Avalokitesvara, Di Zang Wang Pu Sa Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, & the late Venerable Master Hsing Yun founder of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist monastic order to Vietnamese-speaking disciples during Lunar New Year visit. The Venerable also distributed red envelopes hongbao for the new year blessing.
As Buddha would say, pray in your heart sicerely and chant happily. Buddha don't care about your offering or money. Buddha wants you to live happily, content and compassionate in life. Some of the followers disciples are too commercialised thus making the faith looks greedy but in all honesty most faith rely on donations and merchandise to keep going and make money.nGo there, pray to your hearts content, drop your ego and disregard what the followers says and leave fully blessed. You are there to chat to Buddhas only.
They don't show any interest unless you sign up as a volunteer. Meals are for volunteers only! Benefits are for volunteers but not the greater community. This is not what Buddhism is about..
A wonderful place for peaceful reflection, sells the best quality incense and offers free meditation groups open to the public. I'm lucky enough to live down the street from this beautiful and welcoming place so I've been here many times. It's always been a lovely experience.
