Fantastic fish and chips. The batter is delicious, and the chips crispy just the way I like it. The snapper I ordered was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever eaten. Juicy, tasty and fresh. Will definitely be back again. Seating benches are available, so you can eat them here. The prawns and calamari were also delicious. The locals are very lucky to have this store on their doorstep.
What a disgrace, and it doesn't deserve 1 star - Extremely expensive for such small serving and it was over cooked, covered in too much salt which was uneatable and cold. When I expressed my disappointment to the employee, he responded "well that's what you get for $25" I will never go back to your store and I will never recommend it to anyone - Your staff also need to learn manners PS: This photo is how I received my meal, nothing had been eating from this box
They do extra chrispy chips to PERFECTION! As the orders are packed in boxes and not wrapped in paper, the chips stay chrispy all the way home!! Serves are generous too and the squid rings are huge and juicy, definitely freshly made, not frozen!
Wow, what a whopping great big serve! I ordered the Hawaiian Meal and got 3 pieces of fish, fried banana, fried pineapple and a tonne of chips. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection and absolutely delish! Next time I'll order the kids meal! Well worth the price. Now I need lay down to recover from the food coma :-/ Oh, and the delivery driver was fantastic too!
Been here twice over 2 weeks. A bit of a mixed bag. Next time will see who's working there before I order.. First time - Great chips. Pink snapper was fantastic. Thought this was a find. 2nd time - Chips still good. But different staff who were training a new kid. He was super slow and didn't drain the fish properly so our batter was saturated with cold oil .. couldn't eat it.
I love this fish and chip shop: it's old-school style, no fancy decor, just a few stools inside and out and you can watch the footy on the screen while waiting. We ordered 5 x fish and chips with squid rings on the side as take away, the servings were generous came as 1 large box of fish pieces and 2 large boxes of chips. The meal was absolutely enjoyable, chips were really good you would not want that many chips if they were lousy! And with a BWS on the other side of Cambridge St, our night in at home was set!
Disgusting, con artists. Paid $28 for a tiny bit of fish with a very small amount of dried up chips. We usually go to the excellent pizza shop around the corner, but unfortunately they were closed. This is the worst fish and chips that I’ve ever had. Feeling completely ripped off and still hungry. Avoid, as there are lots of decent fish and chips shops around
Have been a regular at this fish and chips shop for many years. Very disappointing today. Dry fish. Asked for chips for 6 people and got about 8 chips per person.
Ordered through the new app and ordered delivery, but unfortunately delivery didn’t wasn’t meant to be am option yet! Amazingly, someone from the kitchen drove out the order, which was some of the best fish and chips we’ve had. Glad to find a good fish and chipper in the area!
Paid almost $90 for rubbish. Chips were dry and seemed old. Fish was below average. Will not be back. We will wait for the other local fish and chip shop to open.
