We have used Beyond Flooring’s services for close to a decade so we thought it was time to give them a review they rightly deserve. Our company installs cinema rooms in clients homes around Yorkshire and nationally throughout the UK. We always use Beyond Flooring on our projects locally and recommend their services to anyone who asks for a reputable flooring company. They are certainly our go-to professionals in the industry. David, John and the team have the same company ethos as ours, so professional, they listen to the client brief, respectful of their budget and work to our standards as well as their own, they always fit in around our time scales and we can always rely on them doing a top class job!

Totally professional from the moment I walked into the shop with no idea what I wanted, right through to the end product which I’m delighted with! We approached Beyond Flooring after a recommendation from friend and are so glad we did. The whole process from start to finish was really easy, all the staff have been professional, knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly and the finished result, well to say it surpassed all our expectations is an understatement. The workmanship is second to none, thank you so much to David and the team for a job well done. Beyond flooring are a great small business that I have used numerous times. The quality of their work, approachable manner is a credit to the team, from the showroom to fitting everyone possesses fantastic product knowledge and customer requirements. Highly recommend!
Absolutely atrocious service!! Never in a million years let this company provide you a service, cowboys at their finest. They were undertaking works across the road from my property and on the off chance I asked them if they would be able to cut my doors down in my property to fit above the carpets, I whole heartedly regret this and wish I had instructed a joiner. I have reached out to the company and the mannerism of Ruth who answered the telephone call was very abrupt, condescending and she displayed micro aggression. It was apparent she kept trying to bring the conversation back to a point where she would pretend to be helpful but it fell on deaf ears. The director David entered my home and caused damages, bashing each and every doorframe, causing damage to other items in my home, because he was being greedy and rushing to another job. When I informed him that he had caused damages he didn't want to know. From the offset when he entered the home his mannerism was rude and abrupt, he didn't care for the quality of any workmanship, he was more concerned about making a quick buck! Both John and David have caused noticeable damages in my home. David left without attempting to discuss matters and told me to "forget it". It's a shame that there are people like David who find appropriate to enter someone's home, disrespect the place and then adopt a rude manner when you highlight your dis-satisfactions. If this is the quality of a small job then I can only advise others to stay well away. I can only imagine if you had an issue with a carpet what kind of company they would be to deal with. I have dealt with many tradesmen in my time and these are Cowboys. I politely reached out via telephone again to come to a resolution and was promised a call back which never happened. I followed up with an email and was ignored. My next steps are to take this company to court, I will be sending them a litigation letter in the next few days as I know they have no intention to cover their damages they have caused. Please stay well away from these kind of people. The cuts of the doors at the bottom are all jagged and wonky. One of the doors fitted doesn't even open correctly and they didn't complete the job before running off! Stay well away from these rogue traders. When you come across someone who you can tell will tell you whatever you want to hear, David is that guy and when things go wrong he will not sort matters. Look forward to seeing Beyond Flooring in court. Update: The company had this review removed once and will desperately attempt to conceal their wrongdoings. On 27th I initiated legal correspondence and on the 14th day they will receive court correspondence from Her Majesty’s Courts. They won’t get away with trading in a manner/way that they do any longer. I note this review had several likes. This is a genuine review and if removed I will continuously post.
Amazing service! Dave and his team fitted my carpets and went the extra mile! Not a spec of dust left, carpets fitted to perfection, with honest advice on which carpet to go with. Spent the extra time to ensure all doors closed perfectly after fitting. Highly recommended!!
A big thanks to all the team at Behond Flooring . From David doing the survey , the girls in the shop for great advice and communication, and the excellent fitting by John . I will definitely use this company again and would definitely recommend.
Today we had an appointment 3pm, I called them to say we would be a few mins late, we arrived at 3.03pm, so only 3 mins late, waited 20mins then rang the company again to find out where they were, to be told the salesman David had gone to another job and would arrive between 4-4.30pm, not thought to notify us they would do this!!! I explained, I said I was only going to be a few mins late, and felt it totally unprofessional to not wait or call us back, so cancelled the appointment!!! This job was priced at £18000, this was without carpeting the 6 bed home, clearly they can afford to lose this sort of business, I also did call to give them another chance, but the girl on the end of the phone said "I thought you were going to go somewhere else" talk about icing on the cake? Also, we currently live in York, so almost an hour away from our new home in Birkenshaw. I am disappointed to write such a review, as I had read many great reviews about the company. REPLYING TO YOUR RESPONCE TO MY REVIEW firstly, we arrived at exactly 3.03pm, had you been on time you would have still been reversing from my drive, I never said we were STUCK in traffic, nor did I say we wouldnt be there??? I said we would be a FEW mins late. Then after calling your office, to find you hadnt even been to our property, but had decided to do your next appointment first, I decided to cancel, as you had not bothered to call us back to say you would do this. Though after Jo called me again to say she thought I had been unfair cancelling, I thought afterwards to give you another chance against my wifes better judgement so I said if you make it for 4.30pm giving you a whole 1.5 hours for the other appointment as you say, if you only have 2 hours for your appointments, so I thought I was being the "nice guy". But to have your other staff member say in a sarcastic manner "I thought you were going elsewhere" so it then really was cancelled. And I am really glad we did, as if this is how you speak or react to something written negatively about your company, I dread to wonder how you would react had we not been entirely happy with your service. It is a shame I could not give zero stars, for you to come back and lie, is an absolute disgrace. You should have simply given a brief apology for how you and your staff not including Jo treat us.
Second time we have used Beyond Flooring. Fitted a lovely kitchen and hallway floor. First class job. Polite and professional,punctual and clean. Would recommend.
Beyond Flooring undertook a very big project for us in reflooring the entire downstairs of our house, collaborating together with an Underfloor Heating company to complete the project. This involved laying a mixture of Karndean and engineered wood flooring over a large area in a variety of spaces. Throughout the work Beyond Flooring exceeded my expectations. The plumbers who installed the underfloor heating system said that they were the best flooring company they had worked with. Beyond flooring has been professional in all aspects of the job : from the planning to the little details. They screeded and matched the floor level in of all the rooms, and fitted different style of materials from herringbone to plank engineered wood to the most sophisticated heritage style Karndean. The finished flooring is beautiful and looks even better than expected. John in particular really went above and beyond. I can say that he is a Leonardo of the wood floor and a Botticelli of the Karndean. He really is a perfectionist. Richard is a Michelangelo of the skirting board. Together with Jo and David, Beyond Flooring is a great team. They wore face masks during the whole fitting period and let myself and my family feel safe during this pandemic. John fixed my main door too, and this is nothing to do with floor! I trust them 100% and I will recommend THIS HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY to any one. Many thanks .
