Such a great experience dealing with the Karrinyup team! Big thanks to Emily who handled my booking requests promptly and professionally! I’ll be booking all of my holidays through Flight Centre Karrinyup from now on, they take all the hassle out of it and always with a smile.
We called to make an appointment, explaining we wanted a quote and ideas for a trip to Los Angeles, we thought that’s what travel agencies did. Booking the appointment, we weren't told that would be an issue. From the moment we sat down, Christine was cold and disinterested and made us feel silly for even coming in. We asked for a quote and were told they don’t do that until you’re ready to book. We asked for brochures and information regarding family things to do over there and were told they don’t do that until you’re ready to book. Feeling confused and silly for wasting our time , we left.
We’ve always used flight centre to organise and book flights and always been happy with the service. However, since booking flights with them with an infant too, we have always had problems with seating. Recently my husband and I have been seated away from one another and when I tried to call flight centre for assistance I got no answer and their voicemail was full. What was once a good service has changed and customer service is poor.
I have now been attempting to get a refund/gift card for a cancelled by the airline flight on the 7th of December. I have been patient however I have now sent a total of 9 emails over the past 7 weeks, a visit instore, as well as a call to head office and I still have nothing. I waited patiently for December to pass as early emails stated they needed to wait for an end of month report to process refunds. On the 6th of Jan I received a response to one of my follow ups advising “ I will have a look for you and then process it.” When I had heard again nothing by the 16th of Jan, I received the response “ I saw the credit is already in the system so I will tell one of my colleagues doing the refund for you.” On the 23rd of Jan I went into the store and received the response “My colleague wrote me back and it will be this afternoon if not the first thing tomorrow morning. She will send you an e-mail.” It is now the 31st of Jan and I have not received an email as stated above NOR any form of refund or gift card. If nothing is received by COB today I will have to contact ACCC, as Flight Centre cannot do something as simple as refund for a cancelled flight. If you do not follow up with them you will never receive a response, and even then they will advise “it’s done” when it has not been. Blatant lying is not appropriate customer service from a national company. ETA to Flight Centre's response: I have ALREADY contacted Customer Relations as mentioned, I spoke with a Michelle on the 25th of January who said she would have it "pushed through". Still nothing.
Booked a ticked with Daniel for a family reunion in Turkey. Daniel was very welcoming and very professional and I got a really awesome price as well. Over all amazing service and professionalism top notch I'll definitely book there again. Thank you for a fabulous trip .
I booked an appointment with Christine on Friday. She was quite impatient with me as I struggled to understand why the flights she was quoting me were significantly more than those on FC Website and why a third person flying on the same return flight cost more than the first two. I was not able to pay for the flights then an there as Christine advised that she need to contact Qantas to determine my refund for a Covid cancelled flight in 2020. Christine emailed me 44 minutes before closing on Friday to say, "quote here for you to double check the flights before ticketing. Before sending you through the invoice I will subtract your credit". I emailed Christine at 9.45am on Saturday to agree to the flights. I did not hear back so contacted Christine again on Tuesday. I am now told that the flights were only held until Friday 11.59pm and let go as I did not pay for them in full. I was not advised to pay for them in full or that they were only on hold. Indeed I was told a further invoice would be sent. I will now have to pay more to secure the same flights. Christine also now advises that if I want to use my Qantas flight credit I will need to return to the FC store that issued it. Realizing that we are ALL busy and workplaces are stressful for ALL of us I wish more respect was paid to my time and my finances.
Emily and Ella have played a vital part in the planning of my trip post-lockdown. They’ve given great advice and have made some great and very practical recommendations. I’m very happy with the experience, and know that if I have to make last minute changes because of flight cancellations I hope I don’t experience! they’ll take the stress out of rebooking accommodation and ongoing flights. Excited to be travelling for the first time in three years. Thoroughly recommend Flight Centre Karrinyup!!! Thanks Emily and Ella for all your hard work.
I highly recommend Emily Murphy, Yesterday I contacted her wanting to use my credit from way back before covid and today I’m booked in to travel Europe! She was so friendly, responded so quickly and overall so helpful
Showed up saturday morning just to get a quote, woman was really rude and said make an appointment as her next appointment was in 30 minutes and she was going on leave on Monday. I told her i understood and was happy to make one but she said, if we wanted a quote we should go to the website to do it ourselves. I told her I had a few questions and would rather have an appointment to get the quote in store. Her answer was , if I wasn't ready to pay for the flight then she couldn't make an appointment. Appointments were only for those ready to pay as they are really busy. I've used flight centre in the city several times and they were really happy and helpful but customer service in Karrinyup is beyond appalling.
Went to the store on Saturday to learn the opening hours are only Monday to Friday till 4pm, not really friendly hours for those who work. Made special work arrangements to come, walked to the empty shop at 3:40pm hoping to get some information to start with, keeping in mind there are 20 minutes left till closing. Unfortunately, was faced with absolutely disinterested travel consultant, the only thing she did was to offer me to book an appointment - apparently, due to being so busy. Latest appointment on offer is at 3pm - beause they close at 4pm, I was told. Isn't it a bit excessive amount of time per appointment, especially if you do not even ask how complex my travel plans might be? Was also told to go online or check other stores. Well, that is exactly what I will do - check other travel agencies.
