I presented to Lauren Fletcher, a complex scuba-diving trip to Zanzibar recently, which she boldly took on without missing a beat. Professionally, securely and logically generating everything I could possibly need into a fantastically safe and simple package at an amazingly workable price. So, I would challenge any theory to beat her with a self-managed online booking, which I very much enjoyed putting to the test... That is why I could not recommend more highly the open and honest service at Flight Centre in Hervey Bay, Stockland.
Jess Hill turned a nightmare of a task into a painless experience for me when she booked my return flight to the UK, including accommodation for the first eight nights. Her professionalism, personal experience, willingness to answer my myriad of questions, advice and wealth of knowledge were invaluable. I will definitely call on Jess for any future trips abroad.
I've been having Jessica Hill at Flight Centre Bay Central in Stockland Hervey Bay to book all my traval needs, such as cruises, flights, holiday packages since 2018, I'm always happy with her services. Jess is a dedicated, kind and helpful staff in her office, she attends all the details for me during the booking process, so I can always enjoy my trips with no worries.
We were extremely happy with our experience dealing with James, in Hervey Bay. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful explaining everything to us and wouldn't hesitate in using him and the Flight Centre anytime we need to organise travel.
Lauren is such an awesome and professional consultant, having assisted us back in 2020 when we unfortunately had to cancel our Borneo trip. Ever since, we have kept in touch and she was the only person we would trust with our two upcoming trips - the first is finally getting to Borneo, and the second is a trip to the Kimberleys WA. Her patience in dealing with the tour companies, often spending hours waiting on the phone is outstanding. She even assisted with some quirky seat allocations for my aviophobic husband! Her commitment to ensuring we always get the best deal is greatly appreciated, and she is an absolute credit to the Flight Centre team in Hervey Bay Pialba. Thanks Lauren, lots more trips to come:
Flight Centre. You should be ashamed of yourself. As a long time customer, our family have flown domestic and international as business class and economy passengers. Last year we booked online flights to Tasmania on Virgin. It was a travel party on nine passengers. Unfortunately, two were unable to travel. My mother and father, as my father had to begin immediate cancer treatment. We were told, no problem you will have a credit you can use for a flight with 12 months. We even provided medical documentation from my fathers specialist. No problem. My father has now finished treatment and desperately wants to use the credit to visit his elderly mother. He was unable to fly due to treatment and missed her 90th birthday celebrations too. Fast forward, my mother has been given the run around the last four weeks trying to use a credit for $688 for two economy flights to be re booked with virgin. First she was told it would be an additional payment of $200 on top of the $688 credit, even though flights online did not even equate to $688 for return fares for both passengers. We were told it was an additional fee from Virgin. Virgin has no idea about this additional fee. Then, they could not find the credit. Then, the credit was found and was told it would take 14 days for a credit with the airline so my mother could book the tickets directly with Virgin. Day 9 - my mother calls and Virgin are unaware of the request. Mother calls Flight Centre and it has not been processed yet. Finally, today she gets an email with credit detail for $254. That’s right - $254 NOT $688 which is what they paid and were expecting for a credit. I have left a message with the “Senior Consultant” as my mother is so distraught and my father - he does not even know when they will be able to see his elderly mother who he has not seen for years due to COVID and personal illness. I CANNOT believe this is how my family have been treated and continue to be treated when my previous experience with credits. Still waiting for this to be resolved with the team from Hervey Bay. Hopefully it can be resolved before my grandmother in Tasmania passes away. In response - these tickets were not purchased during covid. My parents want to book with the same airline. When fees are considerably cheaper online by $200+ my mother understood she would loose that amount. But then to charge extra fees - which Virgin have said have nothing to do with them, is appalling. To then receive a credit with the airline no where near the original amount, it has to be a joke. I am still waiting for Hervey Bay to contact me back or to contact my mother and sort this out. You have my details, call me. Additional edit - from Virgin Hi Wanda, when you book via a third party they are the owner of the booking, not the operating airline. They may impose additional fees which we don't have insight into. We have not heard of a captains essential package, we're sorry. As they have authority over your booking we are unable to book using your credits. You would need to request they contact our Industry Support Team and provide authority for Virgin Australia to take over the booking to manage the credits. Once this is done our team would look to create a Travel Bank account for you and deposit the credits. Once this has been finalised you can use the account and credits to book direct with us. You can also do this online. Please know you won't have the credits instantly, this is a manual process so our team would need a few days to process the request and account. ^EM Note. NO WHERE on our original booking of nine passengers did we pay for the captains package. We only do this for international flights. Al we are asking for is the credit my mother and father deserve. $688 to Virgin for domestic flights.
Just wanted to say how easy it is to deal with Em. She is so lovely and helpful. Always offers good options and has a great opinion on things. Em goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect.
Abby is so amazing to deal with. She went the extra mile for us. Always got back to us fast and explained everything to us clearly. We definitely reccomend Abby. Will definitely go back to Abby in the future.
Jess Ireland recently helped us to get our 84 year old friend, from Harvey Bay to Banka Banka station, 100 kms north of Tennant Creek, which was not an easy thing to do. Nothing was too much trouble to her and after 2 flights, a stopover in Darwin and a greyhound bus trip, he arrived safe and sound. Thanks Jess, we can’t recommend you highly enough. John and Karen
