We were visiting RSPCA Peninsula and decided to make a detour to Tyabb Antiques. Hunger pangs at midday made us walk to the nearest food source ie the local Tyabb Fish & Chips as it has a small dine-in area. The batter is crisp yet light. Chips cooked to perfection with chicken salt! Great lunch outcome!
Amazing calamari rings, souvlaki was good would have been better if it was proper souvlaki wrap not a taco wrap. But other than that really good, would definitely return.
I found this shop accidentally whilst going to Hastings. The food was delicious and not that expensive. I ordered a lunch pack, which included a Flake, Dim Sim, 1 potato cake, and chips and it cost only $8:50.

Well worth the 15min drive past other fish and chip shops to come to this place. Our favourite fish and chip shop since moving from QLD. They do such a good crumbed fish and Calamari. Not too heavy and the chips are always cooked well.

Your typical local fish and chip shop. Has some good packs for kids or for when you don't want/need a huge feed. The flake tender and chips pack is under $5 and is perfect for an adult lunch or dinner. There are a few tables inside if you want to dine in. Most important thing to note is they take CASH ONLY. The nearest ATM that I know of is inside the local petrol station in Tyabb.
Wow the freshest Barra Pack with two pieces and minimum chips for $12! I ate in which was comfy and the staff were friendly. Paper packaging nice to see. They asked if I wanted chicken salt and I asked if there was chicken in it. No they laughed. The next person asked the same question! But I must say, their chips were superbly crispy and delicious and Barra grilled just right. Yum.
Excellent local fish & chips shop. The potato cakes are delicious and homemade.Very friendly staff. A best place around Tyabb where you can get the value for what you will spend. I would highly recommend.
I really rate flatties very highly. Excellent value and really good chips. Burgers I've had are decent. Fish is good. Great to have them as our local fish and chips.
