Our daughter is currently in reception and we are incredibly happy with the school so far. With several schools closer to us we only decided to visit RFA at the last minute, but I'm so glad we did as we fell in love with it! It's a really stimulating environment for the children with the beautiful old school building refurbished so wonderfully, modern facilities and a really welcoming atmosphere. My daughter is very happy here and the teachers have all been brilliant with great communication. I am impressed by the wide ranging curriculum, providing lots of space for subjects such as art and music, but then equally impressed at the progress she's made with her reading, writing and maths over the year. We feel very lucky to have found this school!
RFA is a fantastic school and I'm very glad that I chose to send my child here - the early years provision really is excellent, and the teaching staff are friendly, talented and clearly put everything into the job. Alongside the academic side of things, the school stood out for us for its strong focus on developing all aspects of the kids' personalities, particularly in areas like art and music the art provision especially was by far the best out of all the local schools we visited. The school is full of the pupils artistic creations and it makes for a really inspiring atmosphere. There's a real community feel to the school too, and I'm looking forward to seeing how my children develop as they go through the years here.
Academic wise, the school is one of the best, hands down. The teachers really care about the children and put all the effort in providing the best opportunities for them, with no bias. The only downside of this school is the office staff, that is no always consistent and it takes a while for the right information to come through while you are scolded that you enquired too many times. But hey ho, no one is perfect and, as my little one is settled and very happy & cared for, I don't have much to complain.
