I absolutely love training at FC Aspley! What a vibe. I’m so impressed with all the members wiping down the equipment, respecting the club and each other. I feel very welcome and always get greeted when I come in. Great equipment and the music is awesome. Delicious shakes and coffee! Thanks team!
My favourite gym has been reduced to the worst gym I’ve ever been to in 15+ years of training. Solely due to the staff that run this place. Besides the known fact that there’s issues with their contracts and payments, it was the constant gossip and talking about other people that ruined it. It’s worse than high school. I heard stories and stories about staff and members that I never even asked for or want to hear. I’m there to lift weights, that’s it. I put a complaint in about it and nothing came of it. In fact, it made things worse. Gym would be half decent if they focused half that energy on customer satisfaction.nnEdit: Since writing this review, one of their horrid staff members have made contact just to have a go at me.
That’s got be the worst experience I’ve ever had with a gym, EVER!nnI had an issue with my FIRST payment, I had no funds in that specific day of charge! And when I went back to pay for it, they wanted to charge me a ridiculous 25% fee on top of what I had already to pay! When I confronted her a blond girl, don’t remember her name saying that this wasn’t fair, she said: “this is not my problem, it’s your problem”. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced!nnI didn’t agree to pay for the excess for two reasons:nn1- I haven’t even used any of the services that they offer! I haven’t even been to the gym for a matter of fact!n2- It hasn’t even been a week, literally, that I have signed up.nnSo, I told the lady at the counter that I was very unsatisfied with the experience and that I wanted to cancel the membership. Let’s remember, I haven’t even been to gym, that’s happening within less than 7 days of signing up!nnShe told that the cancelation was $250!!!!nnFor what? For not using your services! I just think that’s inhumane! Just because it’s on the contract, it doesn’t mean that people should or could rip you off!nnI’ll not be ripped off! I’ll contact my lawyers if necessary!
I have been a member at dozens of gyms over the past 30 years and FC is hands down the best. It combines all aspects of what is great and offers this from one facility. Good people, cafe, creche, large spaces, good equipment and first class facilities, sauna, bathrooms, etc. I also like the dimmed lighting, it provides a casual / calm element to the place that other gyms with 10K lumen lighting lack.
I'll start by saying Euan was one of the best trainers I've ever had. His group training session were so good, very hard but pushed me to get stronger again after having a baby.nnBut the process to quit the gym is beyond a joke. They don't answer emails and when you call the receptionist to talk to someone, she passes on the message to the Customer Service Manager - who I think either doesn't exist or is very very bad at their job. I called 6 times, sent three emails, two text messages and heard nothing back. The gym kept taking money out of my account for as long as they can - while dodging all communications with me.nI ended up just cancelling my card - it was quicker, what a joke of a company.nOnly when my card was cancelled the gym called and demanded money - it's amazing how quickly they can call you once the money stops coming in.nI would never sign up to this gym again, purely for the leg work it takes to get out of the membership
