Been twice so far and the food and service is awesome. Bit busy first time but when you see so many people there you figure out why. It's now my go-to fish n chips shop. Plain burgers are huge, scollops and fish cutlets divine.
This place used to be the best place to get fish n chips at! Always so cheap and the food was great value however as time has gone on the price has increased dramatically. Secondly, what happened to the original staff that used to work there? The current staff they have now have no personality and look like they dislike their job.. I was very disappointed with the service that I received today specifically from the male worker who had long hair with a green colour put through and glasses.. I asked him where the cutlery was and his response was “it’s right there! do you need glasses?” The customer behind me said to him “there was no need to be rude” and he responded with a sour face “there is multiple other fish n chip stores that you can go to”. I felt embarrassed and upset and I will not be returning.
Zero atmosphere here and service is dull and unfriendly. No seating to speak of and get outside while ya wait. No please. No tartar sauce just mayonnaise lol. Fish cocktails ok Large fish better Calamari was nice. Can't understand why it's not local fish just gummy shark My partner lived it though..... Expensive for what it is but chips were great. Seriously mayo though???
Simple no frills place was just what we were looking for. Prices seems high, but the servings were huge, so that offset the price a bit. Would go again next time we are in the mood for a fry joint/fish and chipsFood: 3/5
Have been coming here for years but the last two times I have come the experiences have been very negative. Firstly the price has gone up a lot. Less then a year ago the prices were $12 for fish and chips now it’s $18 and the portions and quality has gone down. The staff also need to learn how to smile. There is a guy looks like the type you can’t assume his gender who works there with glasses with orange hair and strip of green. He got so angry with me because I asked him to provide me a bag to carry my meal. Then I asked him if my meal had the extra chicken salt and he looked at me dead in the eyes and said “yes now get out of my store”. So rude and won’t be returning. This business needs to hire better people because of this experience you’ve just lost a customer.
As a lean bodied small portion eater, we bought a family of 4 pack but there was enough food for only 2 adults. Considering the price of potatoes the chips was a serving of 1 chips were garbage. They charge extra $1 for a small tub of sauce. see pic of what you get for a grand total $38. They also make you wait outside in the sun while waiting for the food. the seafood was good though.
Nice fish and chips here. Ordered the cheeseburger as well. Great value
Very affordable staffs are friendly. There is a toilet, and a hand washing facility. Not wheelchair accessible, but I think because the staffs are friendly they would be able to help when some one needs a hand from outside as there are seats at the outside area. A thoroughly enjoyable take-away in the spirit of Australian summers and beach days but with year round service of course. The food here is a staple of how to do Aussie burger and chips right. The scallops are delightful and the Pluto pups always make me smile like a child again.Food: 5/5
I absolutely love Fishnets . The food is awesome and staff are always friendly . I love my scallops with extra vinegar! I tell everyone I know, to go there . It’s the best
