Very nice fish and chips. Hot, fresh fish, crispy and tasty, no greasy old oil taste. Crispy batter, not thick or doughy. Remember to crab a pineapple fritter for dessert, it’s sweet and juicy. Good vibes. Staff is friendly.
A family run business where the crowded kitchen works like clockwork. There's a string on a pulley system, so phone orders are pegged into the string and pulled towards the back of the visible kitchen. 5 or 6 people work together to produce the items they sell, to a very high quality. Over customer came to the counter, annoyed that she couldn't be heard over the phone when placing her order. The staff stepped up to speak with her in such a patient and calm tone. She asked, "Could you hear me, did you get the order right?!" The young girl replied, telling her what the order was - right off the top of her head. She had got it right. My order was up and I got a lovely, thick piece of flake with a light, crisp batter. The thick chips had dense potato, not empty bags of air. It was delicious. But you can see by my photo of the menu board they do souvlakis, salads and all sorts of other food. A wonderful, busy, patient, cohesive group of people who do a fabulous job.
The biz name speaks for itself. Its specialty for Fish & chips. We ordered fish for two but three people, so they simply add another one of each of the menu and add the extra cost - pragmatic. We came during dinner and the wait relatively quick - 15 mins. Price is equivalent to big brand fish and chips shop, but considering the scarcity of great fish and chips at this lcoation, it's justified. The fish was fresh, it comes with the tarter sauce and ketchup. Located right at the centre of the town. Friendly owner / staff too !! 5/5 !
Being the only fish and chips shop in the vacinity it was super busy when we went around lunch time. We placed our fish for 2 order with some extra crab stick, grabbed a ticket and waited. Remember to specify if you want chicken salt or normal salt; we didn't know and when asked for chicken salt, was told that we should've said so earlier. There are some limited outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to get one otherwise you can take your food down the beach. The food was fresh, especially the fish for us. Otherwise this isn't much different to what we get at our local fish and chips. The menu doesn't show any prices so you might get a shock when paying as it is a bit pricey.
geez louis, the salmon pack was spot on in terms of taste, but for $25, the quantity was absurdly comedic, especially the size of the salmon. see pictures for reference vegetarian burger was good, but it warrants a greater amount of condiment
Best fish and chips in Sorrento. The way they take orders seems a little chaotic by watching them. But it works for them. This place is busy for a reason
Have been going here and singing thier praises for 15 yrs. Not anymore. Quality still good but big disappointment when we opened the pack to find only two pieces of flathead fillets that cost $13.95 31 Dec 22. Pretty sure we got 3-4 pieces last time.
The food is definitely fresh. The battering was yummy though it is a little bit too salty and oily but I'm being picky. Service is average potentially due to covid as I had to ask for cuttery to which only plastic forks were given.. not knives and napkins.
One of the staples on the main St. As far as fish and chips places go, there's nothing spectacular about the menu. It's the people that make this place awesome. You can tell the owner cares. Staff are smiling. Food is fresh. Always busy. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? Can't go wrong here.Food: 5/5
Extremely friendly staff both times I went there this summer. Excellent Flake, just crispy enough and the chips were great. They also do fantastic veggie dim sims. Will be looking forward to them next time we are down there. They now also accept card payments unlike a few years ago. Vegetarian options: Veggie dim sims
