Spent plenty of money over the years here, rocked up on the way through with my wife and two kids. dingus behind the counter said I didn't look over 30 and refused to sell to me even though my wife had her ID as my wallet was at home. I thought he was kidding at first. As much as it's a compliment, it was extremely inconvenient. Proceeded to Dan Murphy's without a problem. Won't be going back to First Choice.
Regular customer for years to the point the staff know me by face. Went in today to buy a carton of beer and some premixed vodkas. Needed help carrying so my daughter came in to help carry the items. Man named Mark refused me service as my daughter was with me!! Not only was i offended he assumed i would buy alcohol for my underage daughter but also the fact after being a loyal customer for years i get treated like this. Assumptions and accusations. Making me look like a bad parent. Dan Murphy's just gained a new customer thanks to Mark.
Excellent prices. Accepts flybys. Nicely laid out. Will definitely be back again as the customer service was A+++ and very friendly.
On a couple of different occasions have had issues with the Golden Grove store. Twice I've gone to collect and actually been honest enough to say that the order was incorrect eg. ordered 6 small bottles of wine and was given 6 large ones. The next time doubled my order but not a word of thanks for my honesty. If it happens again i wont be so honest. Also sent my partner in to collect and order with my drivers license and he was refused. I mean how would he have my drivers license without me consenting. They need to lift their game here.
This store has plenty of parking available. In store very easy to move around as aisles are wide. Prices are similar to Dan Murphy's. However if you get a Flybuys offer they are better than Dan Murphy's.
Rang to confirm if they had what I wanted in stock, young man advised yes. Drove all the way up there to find no they did not have want I rang for. Grabbed what they did have but then would not get served as my daughter was with me and cos she looked at alcohol Um what was she meant to look at it’s not like you had a ride on unicorn. Anyway your store lost out on $290 as I went elsewhere. Won’t be back.
Disgusting service. I was with my mum and I didn't say a word about the drinks or go near or even touch them. Yet my mum was refused service until I showed MY DRIVERS LICENCE, WHAT AN INVASION OF PRIVACY. I don't drink alcohol. The two people in there were horrible and harassed me and my mother and yelled. That is the worst customer service I've ever seen. served by Michelle.
There are always great sales on. And sometimes if you're lucky really good reduced items for sale. You never go away disappointed. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I do recommend going to this chain of stores, they won't let you down.
Not my first choice. No choice. Prices are very expensive. Staff are so so. Go to Dan Murphy's and see the difference on every level
I was helped by a staff member and he took me straight to what I asked for. I was in and out with exactly what I wanted in under 5 minutes, great job.
