We drove through Fiordland National Park mainly on highway 94 on our way to Milford Sound. There are so many picturesque spots to stop at for a break and to take in the awesome landscape. Definitely will come back for some camping adventures
Absolutely stunning National park. I’ve been to all the top parks in the US and this rivals them. Equally as stunning as the Yosemite valley. This is a must-see for anyone visiting the South Island.
A World Heritage Site, Fiordland National Park protects some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. Glaciers sculpted this dramatic landscape, carving the famous fjords of Milford, Dusky, and Doubtful Sounds. Visitors here can explore gushing cascades, offshore islands, virgin rain forests, vast lakes, and craggy mountain peaks. Not surprisingly, the park is a haven for hikers with some of the country's best hiking, including the famous Milford Track. Sea kayaking is a popular way to explore the fjords, and visitors can also enjoy a scenic flight over the park for a bird's-eye view of its staggering beauty.
So glad that when I finally got to go it was quiet because the borders are still closed. Beautiful place. Definitely going back
The crown jewel of New Zealand. Stunning fjords, waterfalls, and gorgeous lush mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. I’ve had the pleasure of flying over by helicopter and exploring by boat. There’s more to Fiordland than just Milford Sound — there are really an endless number of islands and sounds to discover, if you have the means. Gorgeous but unforgiving, as are most epically beautiful places in the world.
The best hikes on the South Island are in this area. A magical and beautiful place!
This is nature at its best. Stunning natural beauty around every corner. A must see if you are visiting New Zealand.
Natural paradise, definitely worth a visit
Amazing place we enjoy every moment of it
