We recently had the pleasure of dining at Fior for lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed & the staff welcomed us warmly. The menu had a good selection of dishes catering for a wide variety of tastes.nThe wait staff were calm, attentive and knowledgeable in regards to the menu.nThe shared dishes we tried were amazing & we could not fault the presentation, the taste or the quality of ingredients used.nOur thanks & congratulations to head chef Will & his team. Amazing. We could not fault our dining experience. We will definitely return.
A little bit of the Mediterranean down at Gymea! The share plates and our food selection all GF were reminiscent of our recent trip to Italy and the food we ate there. The scallops were divine! The service was great, atmosphere was good and the wine selection perfect for our lunch. This place is a great addition to our Gymea eateries.
What a great little place! Atmosphere was great, the food was exceptional. All items pictured were delicious. A must try is the octopus and the olives were gorgeous with roasted fennel seeds, Yum! I dined for dinner with a girlfriend for her birthday, I’ll be back with Hubby. The outside area was cute and cosy, even in the winter chill. A short drive from the inner west. Thank you! We will be back!
The perfect afternoon!nnMy partner and I decided very last minute to try Fior for the first time yesterday.nnUnfortunately no bookings available online for dinner so we thought we’d try our luck earlier in the afternoon hoping we could be squeezed in.nnWe arrived shortly before 4pm and were lucky enough to be offered a lovely spot at the bar.nnWe arrived just in time for Aperitivo Hour which was absolutely excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with the very reasonably priced menu both Aperitivo and main menu and the food was just wonderful.nnOysters - Very fresh and delicious we nearly ordered another round, amazing value.nnAnchovies - Rich yet delicate, served with fragrant olive oil, super tasty and great on the fresh focaccia.nnMussels- Perfect with fennel and dill, yummy sauce, also nice to soak up with the focaccia.nnCrumbed scallops - Great texture and full of flavour.nnOctopus - Crispy and tender with delicious salsa verde, loved the pickled peppers and potatoes.nnSadly we were too full from what we ordered to be able to try the pastas this time but will certainly be back to try these too.nnDrinks on the Aperitivo Hour menu were fantastic, good selection and very reasonably priced, we loved the wines, gin and tonic and the signature martini from the main menu.nnAtmosphere and service were great. The bar staff and our waitress Brooke were all so attentive and we felt very well looked after the entire time.nnIt’s unfortunate to see some negative reviews as they can be very damaging to a business. I certainly don’t agree with any of the reviews saying it’s over priced. The food is delicious and pricing is very competitive for a venue of this quality with the comfort of not having to travel too far.nnThank you Fior for a lovely afternoon, we will certainly be recommending your beautiful restaurant to family and friends and look forward to returning again soon to try more of the menu!
Had a wonderful experience for lunch today, we sat outside in the enclosed verandah and barely noticed the gale force winds. Our waitress brought out a marked gluten free menu which was super helpful. Food was amazing and prices were very reasonable considering the venue and service.
