Overall a good café, highlight is definitely the staff, super friendly and chatty. Food and drinks were average, maybe a bit underwhelming compared to their online photos, but reasonable prices. Thee café has a relaxed and easy atmosphere, great for a casual catch-up with friends.
A great local spot in Mortdale for delicious food and coffee. Food ordered: Breakfast burrito. Very filled and fresh. I enjoyed all the ingredients in this one except for the big lettuce leaves. Would have preferred more bacon instead! But the Mayo sauce was really good. And can’t go wrong with a crispy hash brown. Açai bowl. This was huge! Great value for money and really tasty. I don’t usually eat smoothie bowls but this was eaten down to scraping the bowl. Awesome combo of flavour. Pleasantly surprised! Coffee: Filter coffee and oat FW. I don’t really like campos but they do a good job with it here compared to most cafes. Locals seem to like it and that’s what’s important! Ambience: It’s busy come out of lockdowns. The staff seemed a. It distracted and missed a few of our questions. The space hasn’t changed for years since I last stopped in for a coffee. But overall friendly and getting the job done. The food really brought the top rating here. Definitely my go to cafe when in Mortdale.
Mushrooms and the fried egg were cooked to perfection. Loved the curly fries too!
Normally come here on weekdays and everything is good. However today’s Sunday, came with friends and very unhappy. Service is bad, frequently came to our table for collecting dishes and while I was just drinking water, the waitress was about to take my half full plate away?! Also, the portion of food were small comparing to the weekdays! The crepes and the granola were just like a kid’s size… it’s definitely not enough for an adult. We pointed this out to the staff and he did not want to even communicate with us just said “All good” then gone… very very disappointing experience today.
THE BEST PLACE IN MORTDALE We visit here all the time with the aim to try everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! Foods awesome, coffee is fantastic and the vibe is so nice and unpretentious.Food: 5/5
Nasi goreng! Indonesian fried rice #1 in Mortdale area. Nice place to chill and hang out. Good music friendly staff. You can bring your dog to their backyards
Very basic. Egg and bacon roll was stale and the dog wouldn't even eat it. They constantly get orders wrong and waste time and money. They dont have Skim milk but wont tell you that and you'll get a horrible tasting coffee that you dont want & cant drink - You're a coffee shop, why not have Skim milk if coffee is your main gig? - and stop deceiving people by not telling them and giving them what you think they should have instead. Just bad
The food is always delicious & fresh, great Barista's Milan & Luna make the best Campos coffee, front man Freddy always makes me laugh, all the staff are very friendly & accommodating, reasonable prices, covid safe, a great little clean & modern cafe with indoor/outdoor eating areas & a lovely upbeat atmosphere
Its fantastic to have a trendy cafe that serves Campos coffee and an all day breakfast here in sleepy more pedestrian suburb of Mortdale. Had the Rueben Sambo! It was amazing delucious! Eggs Benie superb too! Great food, fantastic service. Try the carrot cake, so moist! The guys who run this place are so welcoming and remember you from last visit. My new local!
Awesome staff at Filter and great food! Definitely a popular spot in Mortdale.
