Nice friendly staff: Each plate of food was very generous and overall we enjoyed the food, including our 2 young kids! Chicken could have been a bit less over cooked and salad less seasoned but other than that was great! The coffee was very good and apple crumble pie is definately reccommended! Toilets and place were clean, and place had a nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
A popular cafe overlooking Lake Victoria in Paynesville. We ordered a Big Breakfast and a Granola. Service was slow, and a little grumpy - it was Sunday. The Granola was served in a jar! The Big Breakfast was sizable, although some of the ingredients were served a little lukewarm. Great location though.
The fig is a great place for breakfast or lunch in quiet Paynesville. The menu offers a number of vegetarian options to choose from which I look forward to trying. The ingredients were fresh, delicious, well presented and well priced. Outside seating makes the most of the great views of the lakes. Watch out for popular times like public holidays as this place will get packed out.
Nice place, nice people Nice latte with the chocolat But Slow service and the strawberry pancake not a success : pancakes drawn in the sauce. Even trying to save them it was to sweet to eat ... Please advice people about the amount of sugar in it ...
Had breakfast here now on a number of occasions, chosen something different from the menu each time and I am yet to be disappointed. Food is always cooked well, fresh and well seasoned. Staff always have a smile on their face.
Very friendly and attentive staff at the order counter who makes customers feel very welcome. Exceptionally good latte, and the cheese cake and caramel slice were delicious as well.

Fine location with nice staff that are patient and helpful. The prices are good too, and the food arrives before you've ordered it it's that fast. The menu could be more diverse with some more breakfast options other than "eggs and toast".
Lovely little cafe!!! I had the corn fritters and my partner had the eggs Benedict. Great sized serves and very affordable indeed. Flavour was delicious!!! Cool little setting great staff, congratulations to the proprietors and thank you
Service was quick but steak sandwich was very dissapointing... inedible steak was off to the point of sickening and not real scotch fillet as stated on the menu. Fish & chips were nice. Garlic prawns were pleasant. Lovely location but a few things as stated could be definitely improved...
