Super busy and popular restaurant. This place has been here for as long as I can remember. The food is high quality, authentic Italian cuisine with an extensive and quality wine list. Service can be a bit on the slow side when they are busy.
We came here for a date night really hoping to like it since it’s our closest Italian restaurant. However, there were several off-putting things about our meal which, combined, means we won’t be back: 1 None of the wait staff were wearing masks and our waiter was actually coughing while taking our order. 2 I ordered my steak medium and it most definitely came out rare. 3 The mixed veggies were too crisp and not cooked enough. 4 I found a hair in my food. 5 The waiter made a comment when I declined to order an alcoholic beverage which I found totally uncalled for. A few good things: 1 Oysters were fresh and delicious. 2 The gnocchi was great. 3 Food arrived quite quickly though possibly because some of it was undercooked!
I went here for the first time on the weekend and my boyfriend had been here 20 years ago . The decor was homey and I loved the colour scheme . I’ve course the original owners have retired but the staff were all wonderful and polite . The food was great , and my main meal gnocchi was so good , unlike some places this gnocchi tasted fresh and home made . The cocktails and the couple of wines we had were nice . Will definitely be coming back here

I had a very disappointing experience at Fedele’s when I went to a work dinner there last week. We had to ask for the menus 30 mins after arrival as we had still not received it. I ordered the salmon and it was a very small meal that could only be described as an entrée but I was still positive it will be enjoyable. The salmon was completely raw through the entire fillet with only a cm or two cooked at the bottom. I politely advised the waitress of the issue and was met with an attitude-full response of “oh you prefer it more cooked” and I showed he again that it was not merely undercooked but completely raw. The waitress then sighed and what I could I only describe as ‘snatched’ the plate from my hand and walked away. Another waiter then returned with the same piece of cut salmon that had been put back on the cooker and put onto a new plate. I was surprised a new fillet wasn’t made instead of cooking the bad piece a second time but the meal itself once cooked properly was pretty tasty. But at no point did I receive an apology of any sort and received such a negative attitude from the team members, as though I was wrong to speak up about my $39 salmon being completely raw. I run a business myself so understand mistakes can be made and am the best customer in those situations but the attitude and demeanour was unprofessional and frankly just rude. The situation was not handled well by the team at all and I strongly suggest team training in problem-solving and basic customer service.
Food takes forever to come And the serving’s isn’t worth the price. Customer service is pretty average since some servers can’t serve if that’s not their allocation during their shift.
This is that restaurant I go to and expect a quality experience. The ambiance was lovely as always with a modern feel, soft lighting and an easy warmth to the place. As a licensed venue, the drink selection was perfect for me. The food was on par to my expectations and the service was attentive. It was sometimes harder for a restaurant to look after a group celebrating and in this case they did very well. Would I come back, for special events certainly.
No toilet facilities on the premises. Ignored us for 5 minutes when we entered the restaurant. Waitress was unable to take our wine order as under age but then waited a further 8 minutes to get an order in. Had 2 lunch specials and ordered one. They came back 5 minutes later and said run out. Finished lunch but never got any service or asked if we wanted coffee or cake. Completely ignored by staff. Food was average and the staff non friendly
A nice Italian restaurant with friendly staff. The menu offered a small selection, but sufficient to cover the more popular staples. The gnocchi was excellent, full of flavour and well prepared. The tortellini was tasty and tender with mild flavours. The spaghetti marinara had mild flavours of seafood - could be better. Great coffee to finish.
It was our first dine in experience, post relaxations of COVID restrictions in Melb. Although the menu had selective options, but it is still good enough if you like meat and sea food. Easy to check in through barcode, really beautiful outdoor dining setup and delicious food. Totally worth it experience.
