The service and atmosphere was good but the food I have had better yumcha. Was quiet for a Saturday. I recommend the lor mei gei chicken sticky rice wrapped in leaf is good and their rice noodle rolls prawn and chinese donut ones. Everything else was really average but it wasnt bad either. I just have had better yumcha. Won’t be in a rush to come back but good to try once.
Not bad, decent food and meets your dim sum cravings. but have had better yum Cha in Melbourne though - variety was quite limited and the Chinese donut was burnt, and the portions are smaller compared to the more expensive price point. However, very comfortable and relaxing dining experience, nice atmosphere
Bery traditional “yum cha”. There are not many place like anymore dimsum cart with this vibe.nTotally loved it.
Dec 2024nCame for dim sim with my son & hubby. Enjoyed the hakau, siumai, paikwat, tripe 2 types, egg tart, tau foo fah, singapore Style crab with vermicelli. All delicious as always.nWhole restaurant was booked out with many family groups, so we were lucky to get a table for 3 of us. Staff were busy but remained courteous and professional, tending to our requests as and when. nnJan2024:nReturned to try out dinner. Had crickets meat in XO sauce & steamed barramundi.nSo so yummy yum nWill be back for more with a big group next timennForgot to take pics of the food but did manage to get a video of the lady scooping up my Tau Foo fah. Food was delicious though a little more expensive, given the upper market style restaurant this is.nWould go again to try out more dishes with more people.nnNote that the hotel is known as Golden Pebble Hotel but the restaurant is Favourite kitchen
I haven’t been to yum cha since I was last in Hong Kong. I had flashbacks here. As the only person in the restaurant with an Australian accent I knew I’d be happy. We had food sitting on our table before we even sat down. We were out the door, uncomfortably full, within 30 minutes. The last couple of dishes had been sitting around for a bit long but the rest were delicious and hot. Well worth the drive.
