The cafe is beautifully decorated with cabinets full of delicious treats! Highly recommended!! One of my favourite spots.
Great cafe, visit everytime I'm down from Auckland. They have a keto breakfast option, exceĺlent cabinet selection and an amazing mushroom and blue cheese crepe! This alone is almost worth the drive down!
Horrible coffee, no coffee taste and mocha wasnt nice either. Do not recommend as a stop!! Kitchen closes qtr to 3 and doesn't close with the shop closing time.
On the main road through town, quick stop. Delish food - I had the mushroom and blue cheese crepe - so yum! Good coffee and cool Kiwi trinkets, art, books and deli foods. Good coffee too, of course. And loos!
Staff were extremely helpful, we spilt our milk and ordered the wrong meals and they happily refunded and created the right order. Food was delicious and there are some cool little food/gifts you can buy too. Best place in otorohonga. Also has a baby change table.
Went here for breakfast and can't recommend enough - its a real local gem! Staff were wonderful, great food and a lovely selection of treats and condiments too. Very accessible to all and good for kids too. Thanks Fat Kiwi Cafe!

I arrived, and they had no record of my booking. Staff had no idea what menu to give us at first, then couldn't find menus when the figured it out. They said they would take our order at the table. After half an hour waiting I ended up going up to the counter to place my order. 10 minutes later someone came to take our order. Meal arrived. My pork belly was served without crackle. I was then told they had run out. Buttermilk chicken was burnt, and curly fries came with no sauce. Staff were very disorganized, nobody knew what anyone else was doing. Thankfully the entertainment was above average.
