I have to say this restaurant has the best fish and chips in Sydney! They are not only serving the best fish and chips but also have so many varieties of fresh salad. I had tried both grilled and deep fried fish fillets and the fish was always cooked to perfection. Also love love love their salad bar. I recommend trying the chicken and broccoli salad with the grilled fish fillets. You will love this combo too! The service was always super quick and the staff were also very friendly. I highly recommend this place to all fish and chips lovers.
Great place to get your fish from if you absolutely HAVE to eat seafood then forget the fish markets get it here instead. They know how to grill a fish better than you can. The salad selection is awesome although they're a bit tight with the dressing for my tastes so ask for extra or bring your own. Parking: Better off buying something at the garage across the road and asking them to allow you to park there if there's no parking out Front Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility with wheelchair bike and any wheeled pedestrian vehicles possible.
Super popular in Annandale. I had a cute date at the dog park and grabbed some fish and chips in the warm weather. Fat Fish is run by the Notaras Family, who have been in the fish and chip game for over 30 years! Classic Fish & Chip store menu complete with burgers, salads and fish packs. Only a few tables outside, but a huge park is nearby with an awesome view. Sydney’s best beer battered fish and chips $12 - super crispy, the fresh is fresh as! The lines out the door don’t lie, this is a classic!
Very good fish & chips, always fresh, the price is right and the portions are enormous. The service is expedient, but this place gets jam-packed so sometimes you will have to wait a bit. The southern fried chicken burger is great, though "fried" is not the right term for this, it's more battered. This burger wants to be eaten immediately though, the chicken gets very soggy, very quickly. The potato scallops are just too thick though, or maybe just a bit undercooked because they always have a bit of chewy potato in the middle which is just...wrong. And I've ordered these on two or three occasions, always to the same result so that's a no from me.
Very good, can’t wait to come back again! Barramundi was seared very well building good amount of flavour. Chips are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good range of salad options as well. Would recommend.
They are selling Bad Quality Seafood as in my experience. Buying calamari rings and been serve old dry and cold one. I paid for $40 for recycle calamari rings. Soo un acceptable service !!! When i ask at the counter the casher told me it meant to be like that.. excuse me?? I know what im eating and im not stupid to eat dry and recycle Seafood! Be carefull and ask for new one if you notice something wrong with your food! lucky enough they will change the food. If not you will pay for expired / not fresh seafood! Dietary restrictions: Expired Cold Dry and Not fresh Seafood!
When we arrived at the airport after a long absence due to COVID, the first thing we wanted was to have some real Aussie fish and chips, so we headed straight over, plonked our bags outside next to the table and enjoyed a refreshing meal and summer atmosphere. Fat Fish wonderful local family run fish and chip shop in Annandale. The portions are generous and the staff are kind and the owner is big hearted and friendly. The place is busy and buzzing with orders but we didn't have to wait long. There is plenty of public seating outside the shop.
Had the seafood platter which was nice but not superb or anything that I would take a special trip to. If around that area I probably would order there again.Food: 4/5
Fantastic fish Best fish and chips in the Innerwest. Freshly cooked fish, calamari, salads and more. Family run business and they care about the quality of the food and service. Sit outside or take away. Highly recommend this place we’ve been getting our fish and chips from here for a few years. Awesome! Love your local guide- M Helpful? Please like or follow me.
Had the Family pack between 3 and the fish n chips was old style and very good. Calamari was disappointing and stringy, greek salad was tasty though. Added the hand made potato scallops and they were thin and mainly batter. Not oily though so semi tick. Well priced and given how packed it was service was pretty fast. Parking: Nightmare - welcome to the inner west.
