Great neighbourhood seafood store. My go to for the past 4 years. Best time to go before lunchtime to get the freshest lot. And I tend to avoid weekends as most of the times I've been to, the prices are slightly higher compared to the weekdays. Or maybe I was just unlucky. Still the best in town!
Faros Seafood is a true gem in Sydney for anyone who loves fresh seafood. The quality of the products is outstanding, with a wide variety of fish and seafood at very reasonable prices. Yes, it can get quite crowded, and you might have to wait in line for 20-30 minutes, but it’s absolutely worth it. The freshness of the seafood and the value for money make Faros Seafood a must-visit. Just be prepared to be patient, and you’ll be rewarded with some of the best seafood Sydney has to offer!
Can’t be beaten on Quality and Price, I still shop here even though I don’t live in the area anymore.nIt is the best seafood place! I have been to many but I am always finding myself back here at Faros. Grew up in the area and always came here as a child, now sending my children here to get seafood! No place like it. Prices are so reasonable, while other places are increasing their prices Faros, remaining so affordable.
Excellent, reasonably priced fish monger near the heart of Marrickville- very busy when visited so a clearly a well known shop to buy from!nnThe inventory looks and smells very fresh, plenty of ice, clearly a well maintained shop front as the ice was still incredibly full towards the latter part of the daynnThere are a number of parking spaces in the next lot attached to the building however when it is as busy as it was during my visit, finding a spot is difficult - would advise parking a few minutes away and walking to save some time
A required pit stop when going to Marrickville. There are always unbeatable specials and their seafood is the same quality if not fresher than some of the other seafood shops around. Lots of selection, I would dare say this is the cheapest you'll find seafood in Sydney, fresh or frozen, even when compared to the Sydney Fish Market. There are lots of people that visit this shop, sometimes a line but there is a number system that is fair and efficient. Staff are friendly and helpful and there are a reasonable amount of parking available on site including a disabled parking spot. I've never tried their cooked food selection, but seems like there's not alot of options and likely not their speciality either.
