It’s always an amazing experiencento shop at FARMER JACK’S COMOnSupermarket, with good vibes.nIt’s a very big supermarket…wherenWe gets WA fresh produce, whichnincludes fresh flowers, vegetables, nfruits, meats, big deli, bulk food, seanfoods & all other grocery items atncompetitive rates.nWe need to support the localnfarmer’s by buying their produce.nThe store is well organised, all thenshelves are well stocked withnproper price tags on each item.nHere, the staff is very friendly, kind, nhelping and love to their customersnwith an honest smile on their face.nAmple parking available and lovento refer/ revisit this lovely store fornfuture shopping!
This store has great variety, easy to park and get in and get out but they never have enough staff on the floor or on the checkouts. When you do ask a staff member for help it seems as though you are really putting them out. I’ve been coming here for 3 months and have never seen any sign of leadership in this store. It has great potential but it just seems very sterile and not “local focussed”, the staff just don’t seem to engage or even say good morning or anything.nnThey really could do with improving their hot food and fresh bread selection. They stock a small range of rolls from Lawley’s which are super expensive. In general their prices are on the expensive side but I like the convenience of it. I just wish the management and staff cared about their customers a little more.nnIt’s a good shop but has the potential to be fantastic.
Frequently an awful customer experience. The store is very low on staff and a majority of the time there is only one person working the till at very busy times. This forces the express line to be backed up with trolleys and the wait is usually quite substantial. They need to hire more staff to keep up with the shoppers in store.
I have been shopping here very soon after it opened and it was my mainstay supermarket as I live close by and the parking is very accessible and close to the shop, so I call there every few days as I have a large family.nnUnfortunately over that time till now I have seen a deterioration in particularly the levels of service. With the exception of one lovely Asian guy the rest of the staff are either distant and unhappy or downright rude as I found on the last occasion I will shop there last week. The overall atmosphere of the place is negative and unfriendly.nnAsking for assistance from some gets a reaction you are interfering with their tasks instead of realising it’s all part of customer service. The manager and senior staff refuse to make eye contact and seem evasive and hostile. Never a friendly 'good morning' or 'hello!nnI believe I must have struck the same woman as reviewer Peter Shilkin on these pages as the tone and behaviours were very similar indeed. In my case there was only one person on the quick service desk - no one in checkouts as usual.nnIt was immediately apparent she was in a hostile with quips like when I tried to defuse her mood with “It’s ok I’m in no rush” she responded “Nor am I!” Hardly appropriate! It was all down hill from there.nnShe then proceeded to gripe through the entire transaction with rude and inappropriate personal quips. I tried to roll with it but when she overcharged me $5 per kilo for oranges 6.99kg I’d had enough.nnShe would not do a price check making the ridiculous statement that because only 2 of the oranges had yellow tags indicating they were the cheaper price for oranges $1.99kg I should be charged the higher price for untagged oranges instead of asking for a price check by then other staff had appeared I told her if she didn’t tone down her behaviour I would lodge a formal complaint.nnI gave her one final chance to ease off. Instead she replied in an aggressive tone: “Go right ahead mate!” Customer service? Zilch!nnWhen I told her to stop treating me like something she wiped off her shoe, she said she was refusing to serve me further and walked away to the staff room leaving me with a half processed load of shopping.nnI asked another staff member to call the manager and I advised him of these circumstances and he profusely apologised and told me the person had “resigned’ last week.nnI advised him customers were not emotional punching bags for dysfunctional staff with grudges or inappropriate interpersonal skills. There have been prior instances of aggressive staff who no longer work there. I suggested he review they employee sources and selection.nnI suspect the woman was part of the ‘new broom’ removal.; as I noted the old manager and a lot of other staff were no longer present and this gentleman was in fact the regional manager who has been tasked with clearing out unsuitable staff and practices and starting with new staff and management starting this week.nnHe begged I give them a second chance but I’m afraid the damage was done.. I doubt I will be ever returning. In all my 72 years I have never been treated so abominably in customer service.nnThere’s a management lesson there for keeping people on who probably do the darndest to cause grief to your business in revenge for losing their job. They were successful in this instance.nnAs a post script I would advise not to buy any meat 'on special' there as it is usually already rotten and unsuitable for human consumption.
Just wanted to share a disappointing experience I had in-store this morning.nnI popped in for a quick shop and, as has happened a few times here, there were no staff at the registers. I waited a couple of minutes — not a huge deal, but it does seem to be a recurring issue.nnI placed my hand basket on one of the registers and waited, as in the past I’ve been directed elsewhere and didn’t want to start unloading prematurely. A staff member eventually came over — but not before continuing to put up price signage just a few metres from the register. She had clearly seen me, but chose to finish what she was doing rather than acknowledge me or come assist. Only when another customer arrived behind me did she finally come over.nnBefore I had a chance to say anything, she immediately commented in a grumbling tone that “a common courtesy would be to take your produce out of the basket,” followed by, “this is not an Aldi.” I was polite and simply asked for a bag. She then muttered, “That’s my gripe for the morning.” I didn’t respond — she was clearly in a bad mood and I didn’t want to escalate things.nnWhat really crossed the line, though, was what happened next. The two women behind me began unloading their items, and the same staff member turned to them and said, in a completely different tone, “Thank you, ladies, that’s so courteous of you. Must be a male thing.”nnThat kind of comment — dismissive, stereotyping, and unprofessional — was uncalled for. I paid and left, but it left a sour taste.nnTo be honest, this wasn’t an isolated experience. I shop here fairly often, and a noticeable number of staff working the registers seem to be in a consistently poor mood — even when you’re polite and patient. It often feels like you're a hassle just for turning up. Not every staff member is like this, of course — there are some great ones — but the general vibe is often unfriendly or disinterested.nnRetail can be tough, and I understand people have off days. But a bit of basic courtesy and professionalism goes a long way, especially when the pattern starts to become more regular.
