Story

Fairfield City Leisure Centres, comprises of three fitness facilities, located in Cabravale, Fairfield and Prairiewood in south-west Sydney.

Each Centre offers a modern equipped gymnasium, expansive range of group fitness aerobic classes and heated pool with either sauna or steam room.

For your convenience, there is a full array of services, including; memberships to suit all, from fitness fanatics to first time gym users; Personal Training to assist in reaching your health goal, whether it be weight loss or bodybuilding; and Austswim accredited Learn to Swim lessons for all ages, from babies to adults.

Very nice place. Good for kids and families. Kids love swimming and playing in water area.  Also other great activities for kids and adults. Walking tracks, 24 / 7 GYM and park. Nice and friendly staff and environment.

The behaviour of the staff at reception was just appalling.  We called them before going and asked if we could have a free day trial for their gym. They then told us that we can come in and fill out a form so we can have it trial.  When we got there, we waited in line for a very long time, and when we were close to reception, she rudely told everyone to move back. (Her name is tanya). We then went up to reception and asked if we could have our free trial.  She said that out needs to be filled out online.

So, overall staff is rude and uneducated and should be made into sausages.

Would have rated ZERO if there was an Option on that. Very very unhappy with Fairfield City Leisure centre service today. We first came in and were told to wait as it is packed and We understood so we waited patiently. The lady then moved us to the side and 2 minutes later with no explanation let the 2 groups at the back of us through the gate. We questioned a different lady and then the lady finally realised that we were waiting first. There is no excuse on that because we were first in line so they cannot miss us standing their in front.

Second of all - all the staff were wonderful beside One staff member who had a really bitchy attitude. She demanded Id and then we gave in our id, I let her know we were unaware of this change as I recently came here last week without showing id. I simply asked her how so and she didn’t answer me and said “im not letting you in without id, NO” which I find it rude how she said it. I understand that maybe she had a bad day so I considered her day as maybe it was very busy and so I let it go but the lady should never speak to customers like that. I then asked the lady on the side how come they changed coz never have I being asked and she let me know that it’s to know who’s in the centre if their is any Trouble so now I understand. That lady could have answered me because she was just checking my id nothing too busy but still refused to answer me. 

Third of all- we went into the pools , it was no where near packed. I understand there is a max limit to amount of people but I’ve seen 100 more people before.  My 2 family members came a little late so they had to wait in line. We approached and asked them how long and the same lady with the attitude said 6:30 , then one of the parent spoke up and said that they have recently said 5:30. My auntie then asked the lady why did they say one thing and now saying another thing , the lady said in a rude manner “because we just can’t let them in” my auntie then showed them how little pack it is and they still refused. My auntie then waited on the side corner away from the gate and entrance door when The lady then rudely demanded her to step aside. My auntie said that she’s not in the way of anything just simply standing here waiting for her 2 nieces when the lady rudely demand her again. As my auntie was talking the lady turned her back on my auntie and walked away. Very very rude . The attitude wasn’t necessary , she could have just simply asked nicely (it’s not that hard) 

I understand if this staff member is having a bad day but there are other ways to approach these situations and customers. Please educate your staff member the values of treating customers who only comes in for a swim. My family have been coming here for all our life but now it’ll be hard to move forward from this.

Pools are awesome , staff very  friendly,  and canteen food is very well priced, fresh,  and delicious 😊
