Fairfax Memorial Park is a beautiful well-maintained cemetery. My parents purchased a plot there years ago and I’m so glad they did. They have both passed since then but it was a comfort to know their wishes and to have a number to call when their time came. We were grateful to have their funerals and burials managed from start to finish by these professionals. They were also very helpful counseling us on funeral customs and etiquette . With their help, we were able to honor our parents with beautiful, meaningful ceremonies. We plan to make some pre-need arrangements for ourselves to give our kids the same peace of mind when our time comes.
I came to visit a lost loved one, I couldn't remember where she was buried. I went into the building to ask and was treated exceptionally rudely. I must have entered the wrong door and by mistake interrupted a woman trying to sell plots. At first she didn't speak, she just gestured with her hands and head like WHAT? I said I was so sorry and before I could say I needed help finding a grave she said "what, you need a bathroom?" I said no ma'am, I need help finding a grave. She then shouted and pointed down a small hallway to the front desk where I needed to be. Beware your loved ones could be treated this way when they come to visit you in your final resting place. We had driven over 5 hours to come here and I'm not sure we will come back. The woman at the desk was wonderful and very helpful.
Deshawna Day gave us a fantastic caring experience, slowing down to not only chat but make sure we were all clear on the details. Otherwise our grief may have overcome us. Her professional framing of our meeting, respect for our feelings, and confident on the spot answers all helped for an easy experience. Thanks much!
This is the fourth Christmas I am celebrating after my father's passing. Every year I decorate a Christmas tree because he loved them while on earth and I place one for him at the grave site. Every single year also, a kind gentleman by the name of Rene, one of the groundsmen at FMP, has assisted me in placing & securing the tree. Over the years he has been my go-to person at FMP because he has always shown himself as empathetic and wanting to help me transition into this chapter without my father, in any way he can. Him & others used to see me almost daily and spoke encouraging words to me for the way I still doated over my father, even at his grave. Because I was his caretaker for many years before his passing, to me it's as if I am leaving my child more than my parent, with someone and untrusting he will be safe. Well, my Heavenly Father has his child back & he could be no safer. However, knowing there are kind, thoughtful & consistently available people who get to oversee his resting place has been so helpful during the most challenging thing I've ever experienced in my whole entire life. I just wanted whoever is reading this to know there are good people out here who are willing to help in the smallest of ways, and Rene at FMP is one of them. I hope this company appreciates their team & honors the good work and energy they put out there to their clients.
Angelica was so helpful throughout the process for my mothers burial. She communicated with me and was very pleasant to work with. I could not have asked for better service during such a horrible time. Angelica was helpful and very kind! She made the process smooth and explained everything in detail. Once everything was done, it was exactly as we had planned and expected. I’m so thankful to have had her help throughout! She’s amazing! The grounds guys are also very helpful and polite.
Recently, my father passed away unexpectedly and we suddenly found ourselves planning a funeral with no idea where to begin. Mike Turner at Fairfax Memorial Park was excellent to work with in selecting the final resting place for Dad. He was patient and kind, and showed us various locations throughout the park that he selected based on my mother's accessibility not the price! which meant a great deal to us. I highly recommend Fairfax Memorial Park.
Nice memorial park and cemetery. This place is very large and employees are friendly. There is one huge challenge - The cemetery is very busy, will have 3-4 day wait to get a burial time slot. We called then Sunday evening for a slot, got a call back Monday morning that only slot available was Thursday. This didn't work for Father's wishes who wanted a next day burial. We ended up going to a different small cemetery. So please plan accordingly.
Terry was absolutely fabulous helping me plan for my mother and her boyfriend’s future burial. He was very patient and understanding. He took his time explaining everything I had a question about. He was also very understanding and flexible with his schedule. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I would highly recommend working with Terry at Fairfax Memorial Park. Terry made us feel taken care of immediately as he guided my family through decisions with such patience and kindness. He made sure the day of the funeral ran smoothly and everyone especially my mother was taken care of. We will forever be thankful to Terry for the support he provided during this difficult time.
