Although Burke and Wills Motor Inn at Kingaroy has been around for a while, it’s very much up to date. In the bathroom you’ll find soap and body lotion and even shaving cream in dispensers on the wall. Haven’t had any reason to stay in a motel for a very long time, so it was a pleasure not to be dealing with those tiny soaps of the past. Our particular room with two giant beds, was decorated in a sort of dark grey which I thought was very practical as it gave a sense of neatness and cleanliness. Outside there’s a pool you can splash around in if you have the time and the inclination. The weather was nice enough for it, but with all the rains and floods we’ve had recently, nobody was taking advantage of it. That evening we had tea at the restaurant and found there were at least thirty people there. I have an idea that the huge group of people who were dining together were not staying at the motel. Just having a night out – with a lot of laughter and repartees. The staff were lovely. In particular the young lass who took our order, brought us our food, and subsequently cleared the table was worth her weight in gold. If you’re travelling this way, and need to stay the night somewhere, Burke & Wills at Kingaroy will not disappoint.
Most satisfactory, higher end restaurant. Nicely prepared steak for me and chicken with cranberry for the wife. There may have been a larger separate wine menu, but the shiraz from the food menu was excellent. Food and service were excellent. Our only issue was the lighting was a bit too dim for us and the people on next table.
A really nice evening mostly. Lovely staff, good ambience and on the whole the food was very good. Until we ordered dessert. I chose the cheesecake which very clearly as soon as it came out, dressed with icecream and mint sprigs, was a supermarket frozen one, complete with swirls on top. That one thing spoke of shortcuts and and took the shine off the whole evening. What a shame to spoil all that hard work with something substandard like that . Sorry but won't be back for that reason.
The room was ideal, i.e comfortable bed clean amenities and air-conditioned. Food & drinks: Walking distance to RSL and supermarket.
The place was so beautiful, staff were incredible, food and drinks were delicious and the place was just lovely to be at all round! We had quite a few people there for a party and the staff were so wonderful, they made sure everyone could pay separately or together, they served divine drinks and fabulous food all night and they even helped us get the cake ready! Definitely recommend and will be coming back

We stayed again at B&W on 5th Jan 2022, and were very pleased. We asked for one of the larger king suite rooms, and appreciated the extra space. The room has obviously been refurbished, and we really liked that. Great shower, love the dispensers. Great bed. AC was really cool. Really good value for money, I say. Overall very happy. Only a couple of minor suggestions to further improve things - maybe consider proper reading lights for the bed our perennial concern and maybe add a small table as there is room.
Where do I start...ok the room itself was clean, the house keeping staff super nice and friendly. There were a few thing in our room broken such as out TV and remote. But the thing that got me was our breakfast order, meal was wrong/cold, coffee was cold, but it was the condition of the pepper in which yhe whole container was full of mould and ourself container full off rust. When we attempted to talk with the manager we'll she went into defensive mode, didn't ask to replace breakfast or wish to look at the mould, was extremely rude and zero hospitality skills of any kind. Also had charged my bill before checkout and therefore charged to my wrong account. Would not stay again nor recommend.
Room was fine. Jody at the office was extremely rude apon checkout as I was left waiting to hand the key in with no one at the checkout, I rang and got “I am in the office” and she wasn’t she was in the kitchen, and then hung up on. Disgraceful to people paying such high money to stay.Rooms: 3/5
Friendly staff, well kept premises. Will definitely stay again when in the area . Highly recommend
