I enjoyed the coffee, scone and very friendly service. It’s not large and not up market, it’s a wee gem of true Dunedin honesty and fair prices.
Great coffee & cheese roll. Nice setting & friendly staff. I'll be back.
Ordered Pancakes for Lunch as they have all day Breakfast, and was so excited! Upon arrival they tasted like dry cardboard. There was an ungenerous amount of syrup and an oversmattering of icing sugar to counteract the blandness. I also got a Spinach & Feta roll that was reheated for me but it was reheated WAY too much and was a dry, crunchy mess. Would not recommend anyone spending their money here when there's much nicer local Cafes to support.
Good value. Quaint cafe.
Went there for the first time - it will be the last time. Cakes from the cabinet were rock hard totally stale, my cup was sticky and had lipstick on it from the last person to use it, there was a group of flies buzzing around inside and looking closely, the standard of cleanliness was not good.
We were charged for 2 sets of eggs on toast instead of one as I had ordered 2 hash browns and 2 pieces of bread not on the menu and my husband the eggs on toast, on top of that the bread wasn't even cafe quality. $37 for 2 coffeees, 2 eggs and 2 hash browns with 2 pieces of bread. Shocking!! Food was average as well. Would not recommend.
Coffee was terrible, breakfasts were cold and very very average. Cafe was not open at 8am as per its hours, this is the time the staff get there and start, not when they are ready to open. Overall very disappointed as this used to be a nice cafe. There were 3 of us for breakfast and we were all disappointed.
Keep on walking. First impression was the manager Nicole was rude, very unprofessional and the long black was so bitter my wife threw it out. We figured we would give them a second chance - bad idea. $10 burger was the size of a small cookie - however the fried eggs were well "fried eggs", hard to mess up. So food was average, I wanted to go in the kitchen and show how to make a good burger. However same manager again could not stop talking to customers and social gossip constantly. This was the predominant "noise" in that small cafe - a single persons voice. Food below par, atmosphere noisy - why stop here when there are so many good places to eat, socialise and have coffee in Dunedin.
As two Wellingtonians in Dunedin, it was important to find a very nice cafe. Great service, amazing food and very reasonable prices. Can't ask for more.
Been a few times, first time I went the milkshake had no flavoring, talked to them about it and they added a drop or two more but still couldn't taste it, just milk Last time I went, the drink tasted like milk/water with no flavoring and the food once ordered was MICROWAVED, for the prices they charge I definitely can't recommend
